Product Customer Reviews

Only used it once to try it out happy with the way it fits and feels hoping to get more used out next yr on longer days out
It's a lovely quality Rucksack with some great features, but one HUGE disappointment for me. The very bottom straps which hold your tent or sleeping mat are NOT the thick compression straps like you get on most rucksacks of this quality, instead they are pathetic flimsy things which are barley 10mm thick and constantly slipped under the weight of my average weight Two Man tent, this constantly came loose while I was hiking and became a real pain, I'd say they would be perfect for a thin rubber sleeping mat but useless for a tent, even a one man tent. This has left me very disappointed because the whole Rucksack now lacks versatility. Its a shame because the rest of it is superb, knowing this now I would never have brought it, hence I would not recommend.
Ok so this is definitely the bag! Having tried out 2 other bags before this got this watched the video and was blown away.. Tested on a 9mile hike and a bit of scrambling in the Peak district and was impressed, however used it recently to climb Scafell Pike via Broad Crag, Esk Pike, Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, 15kg and 2 nights of wild camping. The most impressive bit was during an all day downpour.. the waterproof cover covered the whole bag - to give in context: i had a sleeping bag in-between the lid and the opening at the top, a tent at the bottom that was horizontal, cooking gear, stove, gas etc and a sleeping mat which although wasn’t covered, wasn’t a problem! I really hope the bag does last but so far it has been through 3 rough days and it did well
I've had this pack for a few months now, used it for day hikes in the Lake District and wild camping in the Peak District, have to say I'm very impressed. It's light, and has some very clever features, strapping is good and it's very comfortable. All in all I would definitely recommend it.
Ive used this pack for 3 months now & feel that it has earned a review. I bought this pack on a spur of the moment purchase & have to say I have not been disappointed with it at all, I unbuttoned the lid as I didn't need it & use the pack for multi day hikes which I have now completed a few in this time. Its comfortable, fits my gear no probs and everything is at hand. Its a well thought out pack & for the price I paid puts a lot of dearer equivalents to shame. Time will tell if its durable or not but at the moment I have no worries over anything as its well constructed and fits my needs perfectly.
This is a good value for money backpack that served me well on a couple of multiday hiking trips. Good 1. Love the detachable top section. Is so versatile and the design is great design. 2. Good overall design with plenty of storage and compression straps. Small stuff that can improve the hiking experience a LOT: 1. Bottom floor material is already scruffed from normal use after 2-3 days on the trails. Put in a tougher bag bottom! 2. External straps at the bottom needs to be a) longer by at least 24 inches more to diagonally or attach big tents b) Should have an extra double slider buckle clasp after the fastening hook to keep the tension after tightening the strap - to keep gear from slipping loose from gravity or motion. This slippage is very irritating and unsafe for the gear. 3. Should have 4-5 side loops near the side pocket zips on either side + bungee/paracord on the front of the pack to attach additional gear. 4. Side pockets zips are hard to open / close when pack when compression straps are taut. 5. Zip handle plastic has hard edges that hurts fingers. This is basic!!! Put silicone or plastic without sharp points!!!

bought this for my 11 yr old son to use this for gomukh tapovan trek, and am very much satisfied with my purchase. After Lots of research and tries finally bought this as its weight management is excellent. Very easy to carry. It's so good that I bought 3 different versions of this bag..one for me, one for me and one for my 11 yr old son. This bag really helped us in doing the trek as its weight management is great and as a result of that it's easy to carry. It has chains to open the bag fully and helps in easy organising...it's a must purchase for trekkers. Try it in store and one can find how good it is

Capacity
The bag has a 50 L (3051.2 in³) capacity with an extra 10 L (610.2 in³) extension capability. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %.
Weight
3.7 lbs all-inclusive. Weight of the removable rain cover 3.5 oz
Air design
As with the MT900 UL line, the MT500 Air range has a ventilated back structure with mesh fabric (net fabric) that helps the back to breathe and dries quickly. Rigidity is guaranteed by a reinforced frame. The back is adjustable with a release strap that’s easy and quick to use.
Materials
Polyamide main fabric 210D RS (Ripstop = increased resistance to tears), reinforced bag base (420Dx330D RS)
Recommended carry weight
According to the project for which this backpack was designed, we recommend you don’t load it above 33 lbs. Then you can benefit from all its features. Moreover, it’s not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your own weight and put too much pressure on your back.
How to pack a backpack
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece at hand. Place small items for daily use (sunblock, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
How to use the multiuse straps
The new range of MT500 Air and MT900 UL bags has 2 straps with open aluminum buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps let you hook on a tent or mattress under the bag or on the barrel. If not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them inside) in the hidden pocket intended for this or detached and used elsewhere with the lark's head knot buckle.
