About this item:
- This backpack is made for multiple days hiking or trekking in autonomy. You can carry everything you need to camp, drink and eat on your back with comfort.
- The MT900 SYMBIUM weighs 6 lbs and can contain a total volume of 70 liters which we recommend for a trip over 2 weeks long. The top of the bag is adjustable and can hold an extra 10 liters of volume.
- This backpack has plenty of features if you are looking for a comfortable technical option and complete autonomy at a fair price: SYMBIUM comfort, rain cover, 2 water bottle holders, hiking poles holder, a tent holder, 10 pockets and a compartment for a water bladder for easy hydration.
- The SYMBIUM technology brings the best comfort when carrying your backback as the belt follows the body movements to avoid any loss of balance while hiking.
- This is a men's backpack: This bag has been conceived for a masculine morphology (torso and hips). We recommend to stick to your gender when you choose a bag for comfort purposes when carrying it on your back.
- 10-year warranty: the fabric of the bag is ultra resistant and Decathlon is proud to offer this warranty for any defect that could appear in the next 10 years.

I used the backpack for vacation instead of a suitcase as we often changed accommodation and waded on the bus in Portugal. This means that most of the time I had to go from the central bus station to the accommodation with a backpack on my back. Even a little further. Once I had adjusted the backpack correctly, it was very comfortable to wear. I was also able to stow everything away without any problems. (Luggage for 3 weeks). However, I will still get bags for luggage organization. All in all, the backpack exceeded all of my requirements.
It's made for rough and tough hikes and traveling but very different when you mount on bus and moving in crowded place .try to buy littel bit small in size although it is a great investment.😊
Overall, I recommend the backpack, but it lacks some pockets and compartments, everything is basically in one compartment. I was used to a backpack with separate pockets and I didn't think that their absence would bother me (subjective feeling). It took me quite a long time to adjust the carrying system (the adjustments themselves were quite simple and easy to do, even on the trail). The backpack is really big and roomy.
I was looking for a long time for a trekking backpack that would replace the old one after 15 years. Even though I often shop at Decathlon, I didn't pay attention to these backpacks - only a friend showed them to me during a two-day trekking trip. I bought the backpack and I am satisfied. Very nice carrying system. Lots of compartments. The main compartment is very spacious and the suitcase-like opening system is a brilliant idea that makes it easier to pack the backpack efficiently. Additionally, there are many amenities such as dedicated places to hold drinks and plenty of straps to attach your equipment. The only drawback is the rather short side compression straps. Somehow I can't convince myself to attach a sleeping pad or a tent to my backpack and I'll probably come up with something - it's worth improving. Everything else is very good.
I have an older version of this bag (symbium access 70+10). It's from 2018 but I had never used it until this summer. After 6 weeks of use, the seams in the back started to unravel on one side by about fifteen centimeters, which means that the bag risks becoming unusable and that I would no longer take the risk of going on a trek with it. ! I don't know if this lack of solidity has been corrected on the new models, but in any case the old Symbium 70+10 is not reliable.
Bag is very comfortable and have a lot of space in it.
THE PRODCUT QUALOTY IS VERY BAD AND THERE IS NO LOCK SYSTEM IN ORDER TO LOCK THE BAG WHICH IS THE BIGGEST DRAWBACK & AS PER THE PRICE THE PRICE CHARGED ITS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL
I used the backpack on a 3-day hike in the Retezat Mountains. I walked with the tent on the back, attached to the bottom of the pack. The backpack proved to be very comfortable and balanced. Also, the tarpaulin withstood the short rain that greeted us without problems.
Ras
great bag for your trek positive point the bag does not make your back sweat
The bag has two water bottles, the large colors are very beautiful. Thanks to its springs that absorb the shock effect, even a weak person like me can carry the bag without much difficulty. Good product.
This product is worth carrying
A great backpack! This is absolutely the one I needed for long hikes with bivouac as I can put everything in it and put it on my Tactical 13 v2 hiking cart! It all depends on the terror and I don´t have to carry a second backpack to take everything to very long places! I recommand it !
Excellent
We really feel the quality of the bag a lot of possibilities for adjustment very comfortable for carrying really I recommend this product

Symbium technology
The comfort of a backpack lies in its good balance when walking. Symbium technology consists of a jointed waistband that allows the backpack to adapt to the backpacker's movements when walking. The Symbium system means no more balancing effects that tire out the backpacker.
Capacity
Extendable volume: 70 L + 10 L (4271.7 in³ + 610.2 in³) extension via the bag’s top flap with adjustable height. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %.
How to pack a backpack
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothing around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the flap or under the bag if there isn't room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece at hand. Place small items for daily use (sunblock, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided down the back.
