comfortable and convenient

I used the product for 3 weeks, the mobility is very good, it is comfortable, the waist is velcro and high waist ventilation is functional, the water tightness is good, I used it in wet snow, I did not have any problems, the right pocket was made of special mesh for the phone, very useful and practical, I liked it very much. Cons- thin, low heat insulation, cold It is more suitable for use in intense activities such as hot weather or touring skiing.

Very comfortable and insulating

I have worn them both with thermal mesh underneath and without. Very happy. On some backcountry approach you unzip and walk in fresh.

Freerider

Very well done! Above all, the elastic material is great. The high waist is comfortable and holds very well. The only thing worse is the fastening - there is a hook and a snap, it keeps unzipping. Snow boots could have a stronger rubber, when you get stuck in deep snow, they roll up. Venting is simple and works. Heating panels are absolutely sufficient. I am winter-hardy and fine in this with light temperatures down to -8C. Then I have to combine it with thermal shorts. You can go to the skialp, but it's hot. Tested in Georgia (down to -15C) on Freerides and they held up well. They are more for the skinny with a narrow waist.

Beautiful and handy ski pants.

Pants fit very well. Handy zippers and velcro closure as a belt instead of suspenders. Is only suitable as a 1st layer. For colder weather, one should definitely also wear thermal pants.

Pants broke within 4 days

Very dissatisfied with both these pants and the customer service. I skied with these pants for a total of 4 days, after which cracks appeared on the right inner side of my pant leg. This clearly had to do with the fact that the fabric of the trouser leg was too thin, but when I returned to the store (Decathlon Amsterdam) the employee talked away the problem from the first moment and put the blame on me. In the end, after a long discussion, I got part of the amount back with the message that I am lucky that I got anything at all. I am really not satisfied with this service and quality and as far as I am concerned this was the last time I buy my ski clothes at this store.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Filling: 100.0% Polyester ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Secondary lining: 90.0% Polyester, 10.0% Elastane ; Outer shell: 97.0% Polyamide, 3.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane

Warmth and breathability technology

Positioned warm pads provide good thermal protection for your Freeride skiing days. This concept means you keep a wide area where the 3 layer membrane can wick away your perspiration.A perfect compromise between completely padded trousers and 3 layer trousers with no extra warmth. Warmth and modularity support you on your freeride ski runs throughout the season.

Additional features

Wide elasticated waistband to guarantee:- Perfect airtightness against draughts and snow- Perfect support- Constant, regular warmth in the lower back

Ventilation

In order to stay dry, it is important to have waterproof trousers, but you mustn't trap the moisture generated through perspiration. The vents play an important role in wicking away perspiration. This is why we have equipped these trousers with two ventilation zips and two large zips along the thighs (28 cm in size L).

Water repellency

Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from becoming waterlogged and remains light, breathable and warm. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend every 3 washes). All our Wedze clothing has received a water-repellent treatment.

Component waterproofing

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 15,000 mm of water.

Breathability of a component

To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity can escape and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric RET > 20 = little or no breathability.

What is a membrane or coated component?

The coating is akin to a paint applied inside the fabric that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. The membrane is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that requires a lining to protect and make the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being more flexible, lighter, more durable and often more breathable than a coating.

How do we make a garment waterproof?

The waterproofing of the garment is related to its fabric, seam sealing and assembly design. We then carry out shower tests on our garments.

Waterproofness/shower test

This garment has been validated in a shower test under 100 L of water / sqm / hour for 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a heavy mountain storm.

Product testing

Our team of designers is based at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, near many ski resorts in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, because we believe that the only way to continuously improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience in use.

Storage instructions

Dry this waterproof protective garment thoroughly before storing it.
