What happiness

That's it, I took the plunge, having Decathlon skis, this weekend in Baqueira, Spain, fresh snow, groomed, off-piste powder. (+ 50cm) On the piste, I find them not dynamic enough, maybe not quite arched, almost flat, they respond more well. they shake a little at high speed, less than my sin 7 Rossignol, trafolate snow, they stay straight, do not spread too much and follow orders. In powder snow, that's where they are best. It doesn't work, it's fun, it turns like on the slopes, with an adjustment of 1 cm further forward of the binding, as some skiers recommend. You have to stay high on the skis. The sole is solid to some sharks. What happiness. I still have to work...

Excellent all-around ski

Excellent all-around ski. it goes very well in all snow; 20cm of powder or very transformed snow in off-piste. The ski is also very stable on groomed or even icy slopes, so it gives you confidence everywhere

overall very satisfied

Here is my feedback after a few days: This Patrol 95 is a very versatile ski, comfortable in many situations. It seems to me an excellent compromise between piste/off-piste, but it is also its main fault: good everywhere but not very good! It excels at the edge of the track in rough snow, in steep couloirs, but I would have liked it to be more playful, especially in short turns on the track (which seems to be complicated with a 95 waist). A note: the edges rust abnormally even though I systematically wipe them after each outing, is this a defect linked to this model?

Classic all mountain skiing

A little too far back for me in adjustment, I tested it not very well prepared, however I greatly preferred the Patrol 95 TI which keeps its promise of a rigid ski

Very playful ski

I tested this ski for about two hours on a groomed piste and not as well as on the edge of the piste. The ski is very nice and manageable! He likes to take the bumps as well as the jumps ;)

Awesome

Great pair of skis in their programme: great grip on harder snow and great stability. Invited to pick up speed and builds confidence. Rails! Side look: nothing to say, modern and timeless! I really recommend!

good skiing

Great ski but too stiff for my taste. Skis for freeride but do not recommend iced slopes

Easy to handle

Very nice product to handle. As soon as we enter the hard and acceleration it responds present.

bluffed

Product that met all my expectations! Both on the track and off the track! Very handy and playful. A real treat !

Nice

Nice ski but quite complicated to manage on the track. Excellent on the other hand in powder snow

Good but vibrates not badly!

Good skis but not badly vibrating, the TI version is much better.

good skiing

Skis too big for me, no good sensations

An easy ski

During this hightest day, this ski allowed me to do light powder without touching the stones. It is easy to handle and it does not tire.

If for you freeride isn't only about powder snow and you’re already at an intermediate freeride skiing level, the Patrol is your ski. Like the ski patrollers it is named after, the Patrol will support you in all the snow conditions. It’s THE only pair of skis for an intermediate freerider.

Choice guide

If you are a beginner freeride skier then the Rookie is your ski.If you already enjoy off-piste skiing, your choice will be between the Patrol and the Slash. The Patrol for those who love serious skis that grip and are versatile. The Slash is more for those who prefer super playful skis.Powder chasers will be delighted with Pow Chasers on their feet.

Description

Grippy, stable and secure on hard snow, it has good buoyancy when the snow is softer, in powder or spring snow. The Patrol has directional shape, which enables good manoeuvrability in carved or drifted turns. The 19 m radius, neither to long or too short, enables you to vary the type of turn you use. The rockers are tight and low to enable good stability. In 175cm 136/95/118mm, r=17.5mIn 185cm 136/95/120 mm, r=19m

Structure

Woodcore Tec is a construction with a wooden core (poplar) and vertical edges. The advantage of this construction? It gives the ski excellent rebound, particularly pleasant on powder snow. It lets you have a lively ski under your foot in powder snow without sacrificing any grip on groomed slopes.

Rubber tip

The ski has a rubber insert. This insert on the tip aims to cushion distortion and reduce vibrations caused by the Rockers.

Bindings

Branded binding Tyrolia ATTACK² 11 AT DEMO , Din 3 to 11.Compatibility with soles - Alpine, GripWalk, Touring, ISO: 5355A, 9523, 9523W, 9523 GripWalkSuitable for all boots measuring between 259 mm and 382 mm.The TYROLIA Attack² 11 AT DEMO is a demonstration and hire binding that is ideal thanks to its possible adjustment to a wide range of boot sizes without tools. They are reactive and robust, like all the other products in the Attack range,

What is the rocker?

On a ”rocker” ski, the nose, and sometimes the tail, comes off the ground much sooner than with a cambered ski. This moves the points of contact towards the centre of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is shortened: they have better handling and more buoyancy on soft snow. When leaning into turns, the edge length offers more grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.
