Fantastic skis for the money

Used for a week in Crans Montana over new year. Performance was excellent. Sadly no off piste due to the lack of snow but on the chopped up piste they were superb. Carved turns effortless. The neon look bindings looked great. Very pleased

Amazing response at a bargain price

Recently took these for an outing to the Wilder Kaiser in Austria. The conditions varied from powder, grommed piste to moguls. These skis handled the conditions responsively with a nice zip on the turn. A couple of minor concerns I experienced was the odd degree of flap at higher speeds and a lacklustre tail drag on some tighter turns. I have been a skier of 30 years or so, I would state for this price there is nothing better, the next best option would be the £500+ range with a set of Volkl. In summary this is a genuine all mountain ski, good carve, responsive on the turn, but a touch sluggish at race speeds.

Great skis at a great price, really impressed.

I am an expert skier, all mountain all conditions. 40 years of experience. I've had many many different skis and at this price I cannot see how you could possibly improve. They feel controlled and stable, right up to race speeds. There's a bit of chatter when you are sitting on the edges at full tilt, but you need to spend £1000 to get a pair of skis which do not do this. The end of turn snap isn't quite as brutal as a more expensive ski either but its still springy and pleasing. Lots of pros, modern looking, fast, responsive, cheap. Cons, okay they don't perform exactly like pro level skis....but if you trash them in a gulley you wont be crying about the cost. Great them.

Additional Product Information

  • 5% Polyethylene low density
  • 10% Steel
  • 20% Fiberglass
  • 20% Polyamide
  • 45% Wood

Woodcore: Sandwich construction with vertical edges and wood core providing a powerful ski under the foot and greater stability. The skis behave like a shock absorber, providing greater comfort owing to the wood's great relief and vibration absorption ability.

Look bindings, NX11 model DIN adjustable from 3.5 to 11. Adjustable from 10.4" to 14.8". With the rail bindings, you can adjust the centering of your boot on the ski in order to have a set-up that is more suited to your way of skiing. In theory: A more forward position will make the ski react and turn more quickly, whereas a more backward position will make the ski more stable and forgiving.

Reinforced Top Sheet.

Waxed and sharpened skis, ready to use. Edges sharpened at 89°.

What is a camber?

When placing a ski on the ground, its points of contact are found near the nose and tail, whereas the middle of the ski (under the bindings) is slightly raised (this is the camber). The longer and higher the camber, the greater the edge grip and more responsive the ski. A ski with a lower camber is more forgiving and maneuverable.

What is a rocker?

On a "rocker" ski, the nose, and sometimes the tail, comes off the ground much sooner than with a cambered ski. This moves the points of contact toward the center of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is smaller: they have better handling and more floatation on soft snow. When leaning into turns, the edge length offers more edge grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.

Autoride rocker

Light rocker at the tip and heel, arch under the foot. This shape provides maneuverability and tolerance upon changing snow conditions. You benefit from the better manageability of a short ski when sliding and from the stability of a longer ski as soon as you use the edge.

Product testing

All Wed'ze products are designed and developed in the Mont Blanc Valley. They are then tested under the same conditions as you would experience in real-life use (snow, cold, powder snow, etc.) The design teams make sure that the program for which the product is designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.

Storage instructions

Leaving a layer of wax under your skis at the end of the season keeps the base free from dust and your edges free from moisture.
