The suit is nicely made, double lined, well stitched. Colors are nice. That being said, I looked at the sizing chart- and picked the correct size from Decathlon’s own chart. It’s WAY off. My daughter wears a 7/8. I bought a 10 as dictated by the 52”-54” (also following the guidelines saying they run small). Their 10 is WAY to small! Also extremely thin cut! I will try to return for a 14 I guess. The size 10 fits my 3 year old perfect! She is average high and weighs only 32lbs and wears a size 3 normally. Their size 10 is not to big on her??!!!
The size is a bit smaller than normal
I bought the biggest size for my daughter which corresponds to her height, but there is no way she can fit into it. Unfortunately this is already the largest size in this style. Will be seeking a refund on this one. We've been really happy with Decathlon swimwear sizing until now, and the design is lovely.

As the title says, I bought this for my daughter and found it way too small. We ended up buying a suit 4 times bigger than her age (she is average height and weight for her age) and then it was still too tight and barely covered her chest.

Bought this in an age 10 for a very slim 8-year old. Sizes on label corresponded to her measurements but she can't get it over her shoulders. I previously bought an 8-year size when she was 6, but am surprised she will need a 12. I think the company needs to re-visit sizing procedures.
The swimming costume was no true to size. I ordered a size 8 years. My daughter is a fairly normal age 6 years and the costume was far too small. I thought I had made appropriate allowances for European sizes but obviously not enough! If it had fitted, it would have been an absolute bargain.

Supper happy with the perfect fit ! As some reviewers here scared me . I would advise to buy 4 sizes bigger if yr child is tall and little bit chubby especially with swimming costumes . At our swimming club even very skinny girls wear 2 sizes bigger costume and long trainings still makes bruises under arms and need Vaseline to use , so always buy 2/3 sizes bigger and for chubby ones 4 sizes bigger . Hope this helps . Am An swimming costume expert :D fanatic . Trust me

Style
Y-shaped back: above all, a swimsuit should focus on comfort to allow you to move with complete freedom, without restriction or pain. That is why it is important to choose the cut of the back of your swimsuit carefully. A Y-shaped closed back swimsuit is ideal if you have a larger bust.
Material
Material: 80% polyamide / 20% spandex. Chlorinated water can be harmful to swimsuits that are used repeatedly in swimming pools. The spandex fiber that gives the material its stretch and therefore makes it comfortable, also becomes fragile when in contact with chlorine. If you swim occasionally, this material will be fine for you. If you swim regularly or intensively, opt for a 100% polyester material.

Not recommended for use on slides.
