Good entry-level versatile bike

as a first beginner's bike I would say that I can't complain about a very nice bike, even if the brakes need to be improved and the saddle needs to be changed immediately. Preparing the bicycle for delivery leaves a little to be desired

Tyres are awful, thinner than a rizzla and punctures every odd ride. Its a cheaply built bike, the parts will fail after 1000 miles, 6 months of commuting for me. The brakes are dangerous if you are riding on busy roads. The shifters are poor and the derailleur has had to be replaced less than 10 months of use. I wish I would have spent more on a better equipped bike after all of the issues. I've spent upwards of £300 in 10 months replacing the parts Could do with an extra cog for decent as you will bottom out at 25mph ish. Also the shifter drops it from top gear right down to bottom gear in one switch meaning I have to drop gears and then work my way back up to the correct gear which is frustrating

bike bought 7 months ago for 550 euros in store and which is now displayed at 800 euros... how can you justify such a difference in a few months... it is not worth this new price!!!!!

I'm a newbie, so I don't know much about bikes, but from what I've found, it has no competition in this price range. It drives great. I was a little afraid of the single gear, but the hills are handled just fine.

A huge plus is the fact how agile this bike is during use. At this price, it's hard to find a more universal bike that will be a great base for expansion.

The bike would be nice, but there are a few things that made me regret choosing this one. Brakes are very weak. The drive with this basic microshift stuff is not good, I would rather say bad. These are about the 2 most important parts of the bicycle. Anyway, the frame is good, the color is cool, it's comfortable to ride on, I also like the factory tires, it's light. About me: I'm not in the profession but a few years ago I built a Hardtail for alpine tours from scratch, which is still in perfect working order so I have a minimum of knowledge. After 1.5 years of use this is my review: Frame/Geometry: All in all not bad, it doesn't lose color and is quite stiff. On the other hand the only thing with a lifetime warranty. If you have a stiff back and are halfway between 2 sizes, take the smaller one, so you have a more upright seat. I won't dwell much on the saddle, it's mainly personal taste. The only thing is that you can't adjust the forward/backward tilt, you can only move forward/backward. Brakes: At first they worked well, after 6 months they absolutely need to be changed. The jaws were off-centre and no longer had pressure, I tried everything, nothing to save. They had become truly dangerous. Gearbox: For basic things it was fine, you had to adjust it every now and then at the beginning then it became a weekly routine. Too demanding. Changed after 1 year. Wheels: Given that I immediately changed to tubeless, the tires lasted 7-8 months with 2-3 repairs necessary. After that I never had a flat tire again, maybe they were low quality. The rims and hubs are so-so, I had to change the front wheel completely, maybe I'm too aggressive in the city... ah but wasn't it a gravel bike? Conclusion: I wanted a cheap and somewhat sporty bike that I could use on the weekend and I could also leave it in the city without being afraid of never finding it again. In fact, with all the necessary repairs and spare parts, I spent as much as an entry gravel bike from any fairly well-known bike brand. It was worth it? absolutely not, because of all the hours wasted repairing it in the last few months and because in the end, for the same price, I wrote triban on the frame and not a cooler brand. The lifetime warranty is a nice and nice thing (I haven't had any problems and I don't know how customer service would react), but I think it's superfluous because if you break the frame, you take such a big flight that you end up in the hospital for a couple of months. of months. Sincerely? I don't know who to recommend it to.

I've only been on the bike 4 times about 30 km and the ride was great (road and country roads), but after 4 rides the saddle loosened, maybe a little tight from the store? I don't know. I hope it doesn't come loose again after tightening.

I've had my GRVL 120 for a year now and have used it for local gravel rides and taken it bike packing on the Trans Pennine Trail. On the TPT, the bike held up well bouncing around on the rough parts of the trails. In places you need some lower gears, a 12 speed cassette or an extra chain ring would come in handy. On descents you could do with higher gears. The main drawbacks are the tyres, they are useless. You need to carry two spare tubes and a puncture repair kit wherever you go. Or as I did after six months of pain. Buy a better set of tyres and go tubeless. I would recommend the bike, but would not recommend the tyres.
