didnt take long to get a puncture in winter

the centre part ofthe tyre tread is not thick or durable enough to prevent punctures. Probably fine for summer but not for winter when there is more debris around. Will be trying something more substantial next time

Nice cheap cyclocross tyre

These tyres came fitted to my triban rc100 and I've been fairly impressed. Ive probably done around 1500km on the bike on mixed terrain and the grip has been excellent, especially under braking. I have found the compound to be fairly soft (especially on the rear - which probably lasted 800km ish) although I did skid the tyre a fair few times during descents. Overall very impressed Value: 5/5 Speed: 3/5 Grip: 4.5/5 Longevity: 3.5/5 Installation: 4.5/5

Gutes Produkt für günstigen Preis

Nachdem ich eine Saison mit sehr teuren Gravel-Wettkampfreifen mit kleinen Stollen am Winterrennrad gefahren bin, waren mir Rollwiderstand und Abnutzung zu hoch. Bin dann auf diese günstige Alternative von B'TWIN gestoßen und hab sie ausprobiert. Ich fahre Felgen mit 18 mm Maulweite und sicherheitshalber immer mit zusätzlicher Pannenschutzeinlage. Nach nun ca. 100 km auf herbstlichem Asphalt (nass und trocken) kann ich sagen: Bis hierhin ein überzeugendes Produkt! Plus: -unschlagbar günstiger Preis, ordentliche Verarbeitung, -sehr komfortable, sahnig-satte und fast lautlose Rolleigenschaft, geringer Rollwiderstand, -sehr guter Grip, -verträgt bis 6 bar Luftdruck. Minus: -reale Breite übersteigt 32 mm. Nach der ersten Fahrt mit 5.5 bar war sie auf über 35 mm "angeschwollen". Dies muss beachtet werden, wenn es im Hinterbau eng ist (wie bei mir). Ich habe beim Hinterreifen dann die äußeren Stollen auf der Reifenschulter mit einer Rasierklinge etwas gekürzt, nun passt es. -heftiger Eigengeruch, der sich hoffentlich demnächst verflüchtigt. Wenn der positive Eindruck anhält, würde ich den Reifen definitiv wieder kaufen.

How to measure tire wear

To measure the wear on your road treys and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Signs of wear include: - tread starting to fray - the appearance of a series of micro cracks - low tread depth - the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tire is worn and needs replacing.

How to remove a tire

To remove your tire, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tire lever to remove the tire from the rim.

How to fit a tire

To put the tire back on, place one side of the tire into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tire (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then insert the other side of the tire into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tire and rim.

How to inflate your tire correctly

Inflate your tire carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the tire's sidewall and its product sheet (available online). Before each outing, make sure that your tires are at the correct pressure for your ride.

Tip from the pros

When inflating your tire, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tire pressure to increase the tire's traction. When riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
