Ordered these overtrousers on 20/10/18 and by time of writing 30/11/18 have still not received them, very poor service.
I am sorry to hear that the Vermilion Mountaineering Pants have not arrived. I have passed this on to the Customer Loyalty Team and asked them to contact you with a solution as soon as possible.

I bought these trousers for my Mountain Leaders Assessment which was 5 days long and involved a three day / two night expedition. I used my lighter weight trousers before the expedition which ripped and tore and so I decided to use these Simond ones for the expedition. I wore them almost solidly for three days including night navigation. They were slightly harder to walk in than normal walking trousers because they are tough and heavier but this is what made them so good. It literally rained for the most part of three days and these were the most waterproof part of all my kit. I wore the same trousers for two of the days under these and was happy to put them on a second day because the trousers had kept them dry. I used these Simond trousers at the top of Pigeon Rock Mountain in driving winds and hail stones. They were perfect.
Skvěle udržà teplo, neprofouknou, nepromoknou, jen přeci jen ten pohyb je omezený, ale účel splnili.
Mir war die Hose etwas zu eng und deshalb in der Bewegungsfreiheit eingeschränkt. Ich bin 1,70 gro0ß und wiege 62kg. Ging zurück, weil zu klein. Ansonsten machte mir die Hose einen guten Eindruck.

Los comprĂ© para escalar en hielo. En el mercado todos los pantalone simpermeables son carĂsimos y muchas veces muy anchos. Estos estan muy bien relacion calidad precio. Aguantan la impermeabilidad. Le he dado algun gramponazo, pero se arregla con parches. Sin duda los recomendaria.
Ce pantalon est top ! Utilisé en montagne il fait le job ! Il est super pratique. Je recommande sans soucis !

Concernant la résistance, la cascade de glace est une pratique très particulière et même si ce pantalon peut s'adapter en cascade de glace il n'est pas spécialement prévu pour cela et peut présenter des usures prématurées dû à la pratique que vous avez avec votre pantalon.

J’ai utilisé ce vêtement une seule fois mais j’en suis contente une objection quand on est petit il serait judicieux d adapter en fonction de la taille
Trop juste au niveau des hanches pour passer au-dessus du pantalon de ski de rando taille 42 même fabriquant et je nage dans le reste! Quel dommage! A ma grande tristesse je dois le rendre. N'étant accessible que sur internet, ce sur-pantalon ne peut pas être essayé au préalable... Finalement tant mieux, car cela m'a permis de l'essayer avec le pantalon de ski de rando et de m'exprimer ici!
Ça taille un peu gd du coup j'y nage un peu et pour le ski c'est pas cool
rapport qualité prix imbattable
Bonjour je suis un homme, j'ai acheté ce surpantalon rouge pour la pratique de l'alpinisme. Je l'ai acheté debut juillet 2018 et j'ai eu l'occasion de le tester pour faire un 4000. La couleur est bien voyante donc top au niveau sécurité, par temps froid avec vent à 4000 c'est ok. Par contre il est trop large donc il crée du danger lorqu'on l'utilise avec des crampons. C'est donc un produit que je déconseille pour la pratique de l'alpinisme
Usure prématurée aux coutures (4sorties)— mais pratique et très Bonn imperméabilité

Fabric waterproofing
We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure resistance, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with 2000 mm rating can resist 2000 mm of water pressure (which is roughly equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours). With a waterproofing rate over 10 000 mm, the Mountaineering Hardshell pants offer an extremely high level of waterproofing.

The hardshell pants have been approved in a shower test under 26 gallons of water / m² / hour during 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a heavy mountain downpour.
Fabric breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporate resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more moisture, generated by an active body, is evaporated, and therefore the higher the fabric's breathability. We consider that if - RET < 9 = highly breathable fabric - 9

Full length two-way zipper
This new generation 2-way zipper offers the same waterproofing as a classic silicone zipper (similar to the pocket zippers) while being more flexible, which improves the hardshell pants compression when packed away. Plus, this zipper is easier to handle, which helps to make it longer lasting. The 2-way zipper and full length opening, allow you to fit or remove pants, crampons, skis, which is an added bonus during a storm.
