Product Customer Reviews

We got these poles for my mum who is in her 70s and visiting Uluáąźu. She has some mobility issues and she liked the handles on these poles. She has yet to use them.
Although I haven't tried it out on steeper rocky terrain than my usual uphill downhill bushwalk it has proven to be a useful aid.
Strong, light, just as advertised
I have greater confidence walking and have increased the distance on my daily walks
Im a wheelchair user with MS and initially purchased the poles to aid in transfer to my kayak. I’ve found them so stable however I’ve packed away my crutches and these fold down and are stored on the back of my chair for access in tight spots. They force me to engage my core more than rely on solely on weigh baring on hip and leg which are problem areas. I’m thrilled I can use them for more than what I originally intended and that they provide added safety around the home and in community.
Quite good sticks but the feet wore through on the first day, maybe not great for sandy clay / sandstone walking.
The handle makes a huge difference. I love it.
Hi Tony,

Good for people with arthritis
I sometimes have to use a walking stick but thought a walking pole would be more practical so I can use it on pavements and when I go on rough terrain or the beach. I chose this one because of the handle as I need the pole for support when I get tired. Really sturdy and can take my weight (I am not light!!) Love the green colour and the fact that it can be adjusted really easily. Would highly recommend.
Lovely grip. Adjustablity is great. Light weight. Hiked up Snowdon. It really helped going up and coming down.
my original sticks were stolen and as i had been pleased with them i purchased more of the same
An excellent stick which was very reasonably priced. I use this as a walking stick rather than a walking pole.
God enough for casual walker but not serious walker as bit to light and not adjustable enough.
Do you see the little hole in the handle of this stick, in the photo? If there's a bit of wind, the air will pass through and give a distinct whistle, disturbing a quiet hike along a mountain trail. Maybe you won't notice the sound if you're walking on a city street, but it'll definitely be annoying on an Alp or a country walk. This product looked nice on the drawing table, but nobody tested it in the field before bringing it to market.
Great
Additional Product Information
Composition
Shaft: 100.0% Aluminium ; Handle: 100.0% Polyurethane
How it was designed...
Fully designed and validated by our team. This model uses the chassis of the A200. It retains the push-pin adjustment system and oversized tubes. Why do we offer this grip that is held from above? We have noticed that the standard grip does not suit everyone, particularly for long periods. We therefore designed this pole slightly differently so that you do not have to bend your wrist and can spread the force more evenly in the arm as it is aligned with the pole.
How to adjust your poles to the correct length?
The adjustment is not the same as for a conventional pole: the arm along the body must be almost straight or slightly bent. It is therefore shorter than a conventional pole.To adjust the length: press the button to release it from the hole, slide the tube until the button reaches the hole at the desired length. Use the line printed on the lower tube to align the button with the holes.Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.
Directions for use
These hiking poles are designed to help you balance, propel yourself and spread the effort between the arms and legs.To increase safety, check your pole's locking mechanism by pressing down hard on it before you start and at regular intervals.Do not attach to your backpack in stormy weather.
Care instructions
Maintaining your poles properly enables you to maintain optimal function and increase their lifespan. After use, if water has got into the pole, take the parts apart and allow to dry. Clean any dust and mud with water or without, with a soft brush or paintbrush.Once dry, you can reassemble the parts. We recommend that you do not try to oil or grease them.
Why are the poles sold individually?
At Decathlon, we decided to sell our hiking/backpacking poles individually. On the one hand, for usage reasons. Some people only want to use one pole. This therefore meets their needs. On the other hand, if one of your poles breaks, this means you only have to buy one and not a complete pair.
Product testing
To set our thresholds, we have measured the stresses on the poles in the most demanding situations.During the design stage, each model undergoes laboratory tests that reproduce these stresses (compression, bending in 3 places; etc.) until it breaks. We also test parts separately (tightening power, tearing, etc.).Finally, these tests are regularly repeated during production to guarantee consistent level of quality.
Storage instructions
Store the poles without tightening the adjustment system to reduce the stresses on the system and protect their tightening power.Store poles in a dry place.
