Nice
Easy to use and clean. Really glad I bought this bottle.

A number of other reviews have mentioned the quality of the handle on the top of the bottle; in most cases, this has been due to people hanging the bottle from bags and subjecting the handle to quite a lot of strain - from reading the replies from Decathlon customer service, I am led to believe that the handle is not meant to be treated in this way, which I accept, even if it is then a bit strange to put the handle on in the first place (if customer service could let me know, I'd be very grateful). In any case, I have owned a number of these bottles and, without subjecting the handles to too much strain or hanging, the handles have almost always snapped off after a few months of owning the bottle, for me this is a little concerning but not the 'be all and end all'. Additionally, the rubber cap tends to blacken with extended use (this seems to be a little different from the mold that can appear if the bottle is not washed frequently). The 'black' does seem to rub off onto a tissue when rubbed, but try as I might I can't get it all off! A lot of it is embedded and leads me to believe that the rubber naturally goes this way. I'm just confused as I've only been using the bottle for around 6-7 months now and I've read that the bottles have a 2 year warranty on them (also all the bottles of this type that I have owned tend to go this way) - should I be worried? Is this to be expected? It would be nice to get a reply to this review to explain why these things are happening as I'm sure there's a logical explanation! Overall I am impressed with the bottle and have certainly been able to get a lot of use out of them. Sure you need to make sure the rubber o-ring is in properly every now and again, but I'd imagine that's the same for most water bottles.
The number on the rare of the bottle is 7 which ment that this kind of material is very dangerous
Thank you for your review of the Plastic Hiking Water Bottle 500 Quick-Opening Camp 0.8 Litre (Tritan) Green. To get a better understanding of the plastics, I have been in contact with the Product Engineer who is able to explain the plastics "numbering" system. This is their reply:
Plastics are classified in 6 different types according to their properties. When a plastic doesn't fit in any of those types they are put in Class7 where you can find a lot of different material (food contact and non food contact ones) . Tritan is a transformed co polyester that can't fit in class 1 but for sure it pass all the food contact test, is BPA-Free and doesn't contain any known harmful substance.
I hope this eases any concerns you may have about the suitability of the drinks bottle. At Decathlon we make sure that all of our products are suitable for their intended purpose and does not cause harm to our customers.

Carry clip broken on first one. Exchanged and keeping an eye on it. Doesn’t leak.
The cap of this bottle can't go in the dishwasher because after that the bottle leaks!

Great bottle also got the insulating cover last time we we in store.
If you see my previous review I said the bottle leaked. I took it back to Decathlon and showed it to the assistant, we both examined the cap and saw that there should have been a soft plastic seal inside it. I exchanged it for another cap with seal and now - no leaks! I will amend my star rating to five but anyone buying one of these should inspect the inside of the cap first.

Directions for use
Tritan, like aluminum, is not an isothermal material. Use a suitable insulated cover if you want to keep the liquids in your bottle cool. This flask can be used for hot drinks, but they will cool quickly. Do not use with carbonated drinks or fats (dairy products, oils...). Do not put in the microwave or freezer.
Functions
The cap is equipped with a handle making it easy to carry by hand or hang on a backpack using a strap or carabiner. The bottle is transparent and 200 ml increments are marked from 200 ml so you can see the amount of liquid remaining or prepare energy drinks.
Care instructions
Clean your water bottle after each use with conventional dish detergent and water. If required, the product is dishwasher safe. Please note that the seal on the stopper can come out when in the dishwasher. Be sure to put it back in to ensure your water bottle is airtight. Allow the stopper and the bottle to dry separately.
1st use
Rinse the entire product 3 times with clean water before 1st use.
Materials and regulations
Our products and materials meet the food-contact standards in effect. They do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA) in accordance with the French regulations in force. Plastics are divided into 6 categories depending on their properties. If a plastic does not fit into one of these 6 classes, it switches to class 7 (where we find all kinds of food-grade and non-food-grade plastics). Tritan, suitable for food contact, fits into this category 7.
