Good for storage and keeping things clean and dry. With the tray in I could only store 250 (12 gauge) cartridges. Nice sturdy box with tough plastic. Possible couple of areas to think about if this product is to be improved on: 1: Make slightly wider (1cm) as 12 gauge cartridge boxes are a tight squeeze to get 250 in. 2: make higher (4-5 inches) so that it gives you more storage area but also this box could be used as a seat as I would imagine a lot of people would be like myself and use this in a hide.

Excellent Tackle box fits all my pike gear nicely. A great deal cheaper than some fishing retailers and will last just as long if not longer. If I get 6 months from it I will be well happy Cannot comment on ammunition storage but you should be able to get a few pipe bombs in it.
