Itiwit 500 Adjustable 67"-83" Carbon Fiberglass Stand-Up Paddle

I have used this paddle for more than 100 hours and like it. Good value given the weight, seems durable. However there is one annoyance that appears to be a quality control or design issue. There is a lot of rotational movement when you insert the upper shaft handle, the "T" bar, into the main shaft. The angle between the blade face and the long side of the handle on my paddle is as much as about 12 degrees with the clip closed when it should be zero. So when I put it together I have to rotate the upper shaft in the right direction to ensure the angle is zero before closing the clip. This should not be required IMO and is not required on my Itiwit carbon 3 part paddle. If I don't do this check and the angle is about 12 degrees then there is an impact in terms of the number of strokes on one side compared to the other when paddling straight. My guess is that this is a quality control issue when the blade is attached to the main shaft. Some movement is expected and maybe as much as 6 degrees out is okay which is what it would be with my paddle if the blade had been aligned correctly with the main shaft when it was attached. You could check this angle yourself in the store before buying by looking down the shaft from the handle with the clip open and gently rotating the handle, no force is required.

Oceňuji stabilní dvoudílnou konstrukci a pružný odolný list ze skelného vlákna. Používám především jako tréninkové pádlo a alternativu ke karbonovému závodnímu pádlu na řeku, kde hrozí riziko poškození listu u karbonového pádla. Pádlo se chová velmi dobře a to i při frekvenčním pádlování. Žádné náznaky meandrování a solidní hmotnost, to vše za solidní cenu.

Super zum halten leicht

Das Paddel ist sehr leicht, also im Gegensatz zu dem was ich vorhin hatte. Klar, ich denke dass es für sehr viel Geld noch viel leichtere gibt. Aber ich bin ein Hobby-Paddler und kein Profi. Für mich passt es super !

Sehr leichtes und günstiges Paddel.

"Anti-Twist" (also das Verdrehen des Griffes) wird nicht sicher verhindert. Der Griff ist zwar auf einer Seite abgeflacht, die Abflachung geht aber nicht in das Rohr hinein, das ist innen komplett rund. Lediglich ein ca. 5mm langes Plastiknäschen in der Klemme soll das verdrehen verhindern. Das kann auf lange Sicht nicht gut gehen. Bein Vorgängermodell ging die Abflachung komplett in das Rohr hinein, das war ok.

Wir haben das Paddel schon mal im Shop gekauft. Nachdem wir keine Zeit hatten, haben wir ein zweites online bestellt. Leider hatte dies sehr deutliche Gebrauchsspuren und war sehr verschmutzt. Unser erstes haben wir schon oft benutzt und das sieht bei Weitem besser aus. Sehr schade ...

Sehr leicht zu händeln

sehr zu empfehlen, weil leicht und gut handhabbar.

Niemals hätte ich gedacht, dass es so einen großen Unterschied macht, wenn man ein paddel unter 1000g hat. Wow! Schönes ergonomisches paddel, angenehm leicht. Die Oberfläche ist samtig, der Handknauf fasst sich sehr gut an.
