Eassy and lightweight

Chose the 2 person touring for the expectation of a moredurable fabric and better stability as a result of higher air pressures esp in thre floor section. Proved to be easy to assemble and packed down into back pack first time. Light and far easier to transport and launce than our sit on double which is much heavier and requires a roof rack every time.

Great Kayak

Well design, lots of space, robust, easy to inflate and deflate We have room for 2 people + 1 dog + 1 large bag and 1 small bag

Nearly perfect Kayak - highly recommended

We managed to get one of these when they finally came in stock in our area. I had also picked up different brand single seater inflatable kayak from a local store at 1/3rd the price and tried both out at the same time. The difference was shocking, and the experience valuable. No question, I would pick up the Decathalon product again. The keel keeps the kayak steady. The storage areas plenty. The sides have velcro straps to hold the paddles. The seats are very comfortable. The floor is firm and rigid that helps keep the kayak's form. The handles front and back as well as on the sides mean one or two people can easily carry it. I'm 6"2 and sit in the back comfortably in two person setup. Wiping it down after use is easy. The inflation points are very well engineered. My only single complaint is that I haven't figured out how to store it in the provided backpack alongside the pump and paddles. I've had this out several times now with my kids and wife and we all agree, this kayak works extremely well.

Really good quality, a lot of fun.

Would really recommend to anyone who wants to start kayaking.

Top Marks for Decathlon Staff

I drop from Southampton to Farnborough to pick up the kayak (it was out of stock in Soton). I asked whether there was somewhere I could check that it was, and a member of staff led me out the back and helped me assemble and inflate the kayak. It was incredibly easy, but I was very grateful to the staff member's hints and tips - it made the second time I assembled it on my own so much simpler and I had confidence that I was doing it right.

Good Kayak but could be great

First off, this is very quick and easy to inflate. It travels at a decent pace through the water. The material is tougher than expected, although not as impervious as a rigid yak. It's much easier to transport than a rigid one. With 2 people in the yak there's not a huge amount of storage space, just enough for a day trip. Take out one of the seats, load your gear and you're set for a multi-day camping trip. On the water it's stable enough that you don't have to worry about capsizing, although some water will come in from the paddle so be prepared for this. Overall this is a good yak that I would have no trouble recommending, but if the seats were higher this would be a great kayak. After a couple of hours your back will tell you that the backrest needs to be at least 30cm higher.

Brilliant fun and stable kayak. I now own 2 , the 2 seater and the 3 seater..

Great Kayak!

Purchased this and so far have used it 3 times; on a River and open Sea. Very impressed with: - Value for money - Great design features and a genuine 1/2 people capability - Space and stability - Quality of construction - Quality backpack with loads of space - easy to carry, and I am an old fellow! Would recommend considerations for design change, next model: - Taller seat back - the seats are not great for those with lower back issues! Difficult to install other Mnfr seats because they all have fittings to attach to D rings, so a modification is required - Fit D Rings rather than plastic jammers for attaching seats, and add brass clasps to seats (see above) - Provide some mounting points for Go Pro et al. So far I love this kayak - just fine for what I was looking for; look forwards to paddling in a variety of new locations and sharing on U Tube. Enough space for me and my wife plus dog - even considering an overnight camp this summer.

Great kayak

Very sturdy and strong. Used a couple of times so far and crashed into brambles growing at the edge of the bank. Didn't even scratch it.

Messing about on the river

Like others, I read up a fair bit before deciding on this particular model, being convinced along the way by the the drop-stitch floor and the quicker drying construction. I've now used it a few times and am delighted with it! It is very stable, with one or two people, very easy to inflate and deflate and once you get the knack is easy to pack away. I recently drove and launched on the River Wye, paddled downstream, packed the boat away and jumped on a bus back to the car with the kayak on my back. Brilliant!! We've just had a great paddle on The Thames near Henley, and knowing we can get on the water wherever and whenever we want is a lovely feeling. Everything seems very well put together and so I'm hopeful we will get many years fun out of this.

PUMP NOT INCLUDEDFor use with an Itiwit double-action hand pump with adapters

Inflation tips and floor positioning

Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the floor to 5 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on.Put the floor inside the kayak and strap it at the ends. The floor valve must be aligned with the side tube valves located at the back of the kayak. The floor's position must allow free access to the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak.

Side tube and seat inflation tips

Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the side tubes to 3 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on. Each side tube has a pressure relief valve. Its purpose is to evacuate excess air resulting from overinflation. When this happens, you may notice a hissing sound. This hissing sound is normal, it can also occur during prolonged exposure to the sun. It will stop once the kayak reaches the correct internal pressure.

Seat comfort and positioning.

The seats are high, providing increased comfort for adults in the paddling position.Position the seats on the floor using the velcro areas located under the seat and on the floor.Stow any bags or equipment into the kayak's rear hatch or attach to the rear deck. The boat is ready to be launched.

Glide performance

Thanks to the rigidity of the dropstitch floor. ”Dropstitch” is a material. 2 layers of PVC are connected by thousands of polyester strands. When inflated to high pressure, these threads tighten and create a rigid volume, which prevents the kayak from loosing its shape.Which is what makes our inflatable kayak extremely rigid but easy to stow in a wheeled bag once deflated.

Care instructions

Remove the seats and slightly deflate the floor to make it easier to rinse out.Rinse the kayak, bottom, and seats with clean water after each use to avoid damage from sand, salt water, and sun.Open the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak and at the rear. Tip the kayak to empty out the water.

Disassembly and folding

Make sure that the surface you intend to fold the kayak on is clean. Remove the fins.Deflate the side bladders. The valves are located at the back of the kayak. PLEASE NOTE: Do not unscrew the pressure relief valves at the front.Fold the floor.Fold the rest of the kayak in half lengthwise. Flatten the front fin base.Lay the rolled floor on the front end. Roll the kayak to the rear end.Strap the kayak.

Once dry and clean, the kayak should be stored in a dry and shady place, protected from significant temperature changes. The kayak can be stored folded, but if you have enough space, storing it flat and slightly inflated will extend its life.
