Product Customer Reviews

The price and quality are the best on the market. I really like how the bottom of the kayak is made.
Not easy when starting but once opened and inflated, everything is perfect
I have nothing to say as a criticism of the product: - easy to inflate with their electric pump - dries very quickly - super comfortable - easy to store! Basically: alone or with 2 or 3: it is perfect... and above all stable! Thank you Decathlon
Easy to prepare and good slide!
Bought on 08/2021, so far I have had several (approx. 10x) beautiful paddling adventures (lakes, 3x river trips) without any complications. The boat was treated very carefully, never packed wet and stored in a cool, dark and dry dry bag. Since 08/2023, the right air chamber (dropstitch floor and left air chamber still intact) loses approx. 1/4 of the air within 1 hour. I was able to find 2 tiny places about it. The boat was given by Decathlon for repairs/the two places were repaired free of charge, but with the note that the boat was losing air on the right side. A further repair is not possible because it probably affects the entire adhesive seam/seams of the right air chamber/replacement is recommended, it's just unfortunate that the warranty only expired 2 weeks before, huh. I was advised that I might be able to seal the seams myself with Seam Grip WP - I will now try that or ask Decathlon again beforehand whether an exchange without a guarantee might be possible in an accommodating manner in this case. The workshop confirmed that it was clearly a serious manufacturing defect from the factory and the problem was widely known to the customer service in the store with this model! The boat, if it didn't have really bad bonding, I could definitely recommend it, but it's a bitter disappointment that Decathlon can't/won't do a sufficient repair. (I would have been willing to pay a reasonable price for that). Conclusion: too expensive for such (non-)quality and without professional repair it would probably only be possible to get it sealed with luck.
So far we have used the kayak for 2 to 4 hour tours on calm lakes and rivers. It is very tip-proof (important for us, especially if there are children with us). Setting up and dismantling is quick and easy, and the boat needs to be wiped dry when dismantling. A lot of things have been well thought out: For example, the 4 handles make it easy to carry alone or with two people. Or the comfortable seats with storage space. .... What's not good is the poor straight-line stability. But you can improve it with the Itiwit Finns from the SUP program. They are 3 to 4 times larger and significantly improve straight-line stability.
Affordable n good quality. I owned 2 but unfortunately despite how much I desired to give a good rating. Do be informed tat the gluing of the floor board n the main kayak are of low quality. My first kayak after 4 trips at sea burst its floor seam at the mid section even at recommended psi. After all hell loose, the seam at Hull of the kayak started to open n burst. Fortunately, we were near shore. On shore after checking along all the seams, many open gaps were noticeable, mean future bursts impending. I managed to return as under warranty for a new one, guess wat? Abt 4 trips, the new floor board burst at the seam.... sadly, I brought back and got my money back. I truly like tis kayak but the gluing of the seams is definitely of poor quality. Decathlon staffs told me the seams bursting are the main reason for most returns n exchanges. I hope Decathlon pays attention to tis as bursting of the seams at sea is a dangerous thing to happen. It is a shame, if not tis kayak is truly amazing to have.
Used for a week we had fun until the internal mattress, i.e. the bottom, began to deflate, the hemming is done badly when folded to put it in the backpack the folds come unglued, I bought the glue by post for €39 once put in following the instructions, however, leaks continue to appear, I am demoralized and disappointed.
Bought the boat for family trips on quiet lakes and waters. Excellent stability, lots of space & easy to set up and take down. Actually the perfect boat…. But: we've had it for almost three years now, the boat has always been treated like a raw egg, air pressure was meticulously checked and always stored professionally. Accordingly, it still looks like new - but unfortunately that's no use if all the seams on the outer air hoses (which can be inflated with 3PSI) gradually start to leak. I've now patched four seams with the patches provided...but leaks keep appearing in different places. The seams are no longer glued together. It's a real shame - unfortunately I don't know that from Decathlon. Even our 10 year old son is disappointed, he loves paddling 😉. Therefore: no recommendation from me. A pity.
Excellent product
In exactly two years and 23 days, the joint of the central float came unglued, repair CZK 690, or buy a new one for approx. CZK 3,500. Maybe a bad piece, but for me I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUY FOR THAT MONEY!!!
I have been using it for over 1 year and its high pressure floor makes it easier to navigate and allows you to navigate in shallower water. a micro fiber towel is enough for quick drying and storage without mold
Used very little 5 or 6 times in 2 years. Unfortunately, we came across a bad series (seam detachment inside a tube). Unrepairable. Despite a delay of 1 1/2 months out of warranty, we were fully reimbursed in gift cards. Thanks to the brand and we are waiting for availability to repurchase the same
Kayak that I had in the summer of 2022 I wanted to replace my itiwit 3-seater double skin model. The x100 has better glide, drying is great. However, not reliable. The 1st bottom which took off in July 22 Exchanged then the second the bottom took off on a large part leaving water infiltrated, I specify that I arrived on vacation. Traded again. Decathlon highlights a glue problem. Then on the 3rd September 22 after several uses everything was fine. I then re-crimped it at the beginning of summer 2023, no worries. And... Another problem: the dropstich bottom came off when I arrived on vacation in the Landes for 15 days. Repair impossible. Of course I call Decathlon's valid warranty. After much research, the advisor informed me that no funds were available nationally. Not even a boat. And no restocking date. So no kayaking for my vacation. Finally, fortunately, an exhibition model was available but 85km away. So I had to make a return trip. I find it a shame that the reliability of this model leaves much to be desired. I specify that the inflation is done at the right pressure and that I store and clean it correctly. I have been kayaking for a long time and have owned the itiwit models since their creation. I changed to gliding and drying. But there the adventure with itiwit ends for me. I'm waiting for a reliable model. Tired of arriving on site after miles and having an unpleasant surprise.

Inflation tips and floor positioning
Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the floor to 5 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on.Put the floor inside the kayak and strap it at the ends. The floor valve must be aligned with the side tube valves located at the back of the kayak. The floor's position must allow free access to the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak.
Side tube and seat inflation tips
Connect the ITIWIT pump (sold separately) by twisting the pump adapter 1/4 turn and inflate the side tubes to 3 psi. Finish by screwing the cap back on. Each side tube has a pressure relief valve. Its purpose is to evacuate excess air resulting from overinflation. When this happens, you may notice a hissing sound. This hissing is normal; it can happen during inflation or after prolonged exposure to sun. It will stop once the kayak reachesthe correct internal pressure
Seat comfort and positioning.
The seats are high, providing increased comfort for adults in the paddling position.Position the seats on the floor using the velcro areas located under the seat and on the floor.Stow any bags or equipment into the kayak's rear hatch or attach to the rear deck. The boat is ready to be launched.
Glide performance
Thanks to the rigidity of the dropstitch floor. ”Dropstitch” is a material. 2 layers of PVC are connected by thousands of polyester strands. When inflated to high pressure, these threads tighten and create a rigid volume, which prevents the kayak from loosing its shape.Which is what makes our inflatable kayak extremely rigid but easy to stow in a wheeled bag once deflated.
Care instructions
Remove the seats and slightly deflate the floor to make it easier to rinse out.Rinse the kayak, bottom, and seats with clean water after each use to avoid damage from sand, salt water, and sun.Open the drain plugs located in the middle of the kayak and at the rear. Tip the kayak to empty out the water.
Disassembly and folding
Make sure that the surface you intend to fold the kayak on is clean. Remove the fins.Deflate the side bladders. The valves are located at the back of the kayak. PLEASE NOTE: Do not unscrew the pressure relief valves at the front.Fold the floor.Fold the rest of the kayak in half lengthwise. Flatten the front fin base.Lay the rolled floor on the front end. Roll the kayak to the rear end.Strap the kayak.
Storage
Once dry and clean, the kayak should be stored in a dry and shady place, protected from significant temperature changes. The kayak can be stored folded, but if you have enough space, storing it flat and slightly inflated will extend its life.
