I purchased these for my 4 year old. She is 9.5f in start rite school shoes. I bought 10.5 to allow for thick socks but they were too big so I've kept them for when she grows. I then bought the 9.5 and they fit well, she walked 6 miles and were comfortable in them. The velcro sometimes needs tightening but I don't mind as I feel you can get a good fit with them and she can take them on and off herself. Good price for a sturdy comfortable shoe.
I ordered these to collect in store. I was charged £18.98 but when I picked them up the shoes had £9.99 sticker on them. Utter rip off.

Sole grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded the certification, the shoes must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). To approve these tests, we then have the quality of our soles evaluated in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of kid testers.
Which size should you select?
For hiking, do not hesitate to buy 1 size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the shoe. Tip: Keep your toenails short, and before going downhill at any time, check that your laces are tight enough to stop your feet from slipping down toward the front of the shoes.
Purchasing advice
Allow kids to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several styles and sizes if necessary. Check 2 comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to allow them to walk around the store. Gradually start using your shoes during your 1st few hiking trips to break them in.
Removable insole
Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.
