Good quality
Super duper marvellous!
These shin pads are good and thick and fitted my little girl perfectly. She said the ankle protectors were a bit tight (I bought a size s, she is 9 but very petite for her age in 6-7yr clothes) the main reason I bought these particular ones is that it looked in the pictures like the ankle guard detached but it doesn't, so I am having to return them.
These look great and well-made (but we've not used them yet) - I just wanted to help others who struggled because of Decathlon's failure to give an indication of sizing. For our 5 and 6 year olds I took a gamble and ordered a pair in size XS (Extra Small - I guess) and a pair in size S (Small) There is more info printed on these than the online description Decathlon provides. Size XS - for children between 110cm - 130cm tall Size S - for children between 130cm - 150cm tall I hope that helps.

Bought these (supposedly Adult) in size S for a 9 year old child. The pads are tiny - appear to be for a 6 year old or something. No idea what they are playing at here, but don't consider buying them online - maybe worth trying in the shop?
Thanks for your review. Having looked online, the XS and S sizes are designed for juniors but are labelled wrong online, stating they are for adults. I will contact the right person to change this straight away. Meanwhile, you have the option of returning the shin pads to you nearest store or via the online returns process. Perfectly good shin pads but buying online I guessed at XS for an older child as they are labelled 'adult' but what arrived was far too small even for my 6 year old. The product itself is fine and decent value for the money but the online information needs to be clearer. I have reordered a size M based on the information that came in the little booklet of size information that came attached to the shin pads but how much more useful it would have been if that information had been online here!

I took a star off because of poor info on size for kids on the website. Decathlon staff was unable to clarify more on the phone. Size small in black fit my son who is turning 5 next month and they didn't have anything larger available for kids. The ankle strap is padded and quite snug which makes it slightly hard to put on. I could not get this on my 8yr old daughter. The bottom of the pad is attached by a small patch of velcro to the ankle strap and does not have a strap that goes around the calf. So, I think its not very stable but for a 4/5yr old it was fine. My son played an hour with this on and didn't complain although it did slip down once. But in retrospect I would have rather bought the version with straps around calf and no ankle strap.
