The karate uniform don't fit properly. To small respect the real expectation for the size.

great starter karate suit for 6 year old

Good purchase of light weight karate suit for 6 year old. I ordered on-line using click and collect at my local store in Portsmouth and was very pleased at how fast the item was available. I was also very pleased with the fit - a great transaction - well done Decathlon.

Fabulous Value

This is such good value compared to the option offered by my son's karate instructor. Went for the 130cm option and my son is a very tall 6 year old. The trousers were perfect but the arms on the top were long, but easily rolled up. He says it is very comfortable. All in all a fantastic purchase.

Great price. I bought 2 for size 120 and 130 cm. They came. They are a little too big but kids grow quickly so great value for money. Good quality and nicely finished.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Main fabric: 65.0% Polyester, 35.0% Cotton

Design

The 200 karate gi is made from polyester / cotton fabric so that it shrinks as little as possible when washed and dries faster than 100% cotton models.Karate gis are strengthened at the hem on the jacket and pants.

How to choose your karate gi

- A karate novice should choose a soft and lightweight gi that is also durable thanks to its ribbed knit.- An advanced karateka who practices competitive kata (simulated combat without an opponent) should choose a very durable gi with a thicker, ”snappy” fabric.- Advanced karateka doing fights (kumite) should choose a lighter gi that helps them perform all of their moves.

What size should you choose?

The 200 karate gi is available in sizes from 43.3” to 59.1”. We recommend choosing a gi that is 2” to 4” bigger than your child. For example, if your child is 4'4”, chose a 55.1” uniform.

Care advice

The uniform should be left out to air after each use. Regular washing will help keep your uniform white. Use cold water for the first few washes. After that, wash at no more warmer 86°F.Air dry. Do not tumble dry.

The benefits of karate

Karate develops your concentration and helps channel your energy. The different karate techniques use all of the body's muscles. Karate improves balance, endurance and coordination. It is recommended that you wear a helmet and mouth guard.
