Great for younger players
Great gift - simple -effective - and introduces a new sport
Purchased this ball for my 5 year olds and they love it, the sizing is spot on for there age group and the quality is great
Good color and size.
Even though it says 7-10 yrs old ball. It really depends on your child's grip and skill. Mine is 6 and he is doing great with it. Earlier he was playing with adult-size balls. Maybe that could be the reason that improved his grip.

It was the right size for my 7 year old boy, this size is tough to find elsewhere. Grip is not rubbery where it burns your kid’s fingers, and is closer to a grippy leather. It is durable as well, works well even on an outdoor court. Perfect for having your kid learn the proper shooting motion without worrying about the ball being too heavy

The 6 years old loves it
Good quality
I was a bit worried it would be too big for him to reach the high hoop in the park. This ball is perfect.....lighter weight and very good surface for grip. He got a "basket" on second attempt and is now addicted!
Good grip in any weather. It is the perfect size for my nine year old. Bounces well...what else do you say about a basketball?

What makes the tarmak wizzy the ideal ball for children learning to play basketball?
Basketball is a sport that requires dexterity and agility. To make it easier for your child to learn to play basketball, we created a ball that is 18% lighter than other balls of the same size. This makes it easier for them to score and pass successfully. The outer cover has a foam layer, making it softer than a standard ball. Little hands won't be hurt, which will help your child build confidence.
What is the wizzy ball? the perfect ball for playing with the hoop!
The Tarmak Wizzy is the perfect ball for playing with the Hoop (the basketball hoop from Tarmak that can be set up anywhere). The Wizzy is a size 5 basketball that is lighter than a classic ball. It is the right size for the Hoop and means that any player, particularly younger children, can shoot from farther away! The Wizzy balls range is designed to match the Hoops range so you can be completely coordinated!
What ball size to choose?
The ball size depends on the player's age and gender. Size 1: From ages 2 and up Size 3 to size 5: Girls or boys ages 4 to 6 / under 7 age group (depending on levels and clubs) Size 5: Boys and girls ages 7 to 10 / Under 9 and under 11 age groups Size 6: Boys ages 11 and 12 / Under 13 age group Size 6: Girls - Women of all ages over 11 Size 7: Boys ages 13 and up, and men.
What ball should you use?
If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you're looking for a ball with a good ball feel, choose a leather or synthetic ball.
For a good bounce, how much should you inflate your basketball?
A basketball that is overinflated or underinflated will deliver a sub-par playing experience. The recommended pressure is clearly marked on the ball by the manufacturer. Ideally, you should use a pump with a pressure gauge for a more precise inflation. At Tarmak, we recommend a pressure of 0.62 bars. Enjoy your game!
What height basket should you choose?
The official height of a basketball basket is 10 ft. (rim height). If you want a basketball basket for your child, you need something that will grow with them. For younger kids there isn't an official height so you can choose whatever suits them best. Up to the age of 10, club baskets are set at 8'6". After the age of 10, both girls and boys play with 10' baskets.
