Ideal item for children's hikes. Good quality.
I bought it for my grandson.

Good
Good product. Resistant and light. .
This is our second pair of shoes from this model. I recommend.
.
Used by my son for 10 days for mountain trekking, comfortable and robust
A little sore in the little toe at the end of the day.
Does the job
GOOD
Light, nice shape, good grip. Too bad they are not solid for teenagers who move! After 2 outings in the forest the end of one of the shoes was already coming off. As a precaution, we didn't take them with us this summer on a hike and we borrowed some…arrendant to buy some larger ones at the start of the school year…a more solid model of course!
Don't buy decathlon shoes for wet terrain. (No matter how expensive they are) Got this for my younger one, and I got (trek 100) which is for 7k. They Both slip, doesn't grip right. We understand, Shoes need some break in time before it gets a better grip. Hence we used this for a month for parks, dirt, asphalt. Used it everywhere. Before we went for a trek in Maharashtra. It's monsoon here. Without a good grip, the trek can become life threatening during a trek. And she did slipped and banged her face to boulder. ☠️❌ This comprehensive experience applies for both, this above listed shoes and trek 100.
Great shoes, buys the same model for my son every year. They are perfect for mountain hiking and rainy weather in the city. Comfortable, wide, never rubbed the child. Smaller sizes have a comfortable velcro.
Hiking shoes keep their promises, you have a great grip, are waterproof and breathable. We only had to take the shoe larger because it is smaller from size 36.

Additional Product Information
Composition
Outer sole of: 100.0% Styrene Butadiene Styrene ; Upper of: 55.0% Polyurethane, 45.0% Polyester ; Lining and sock of: 100.0% Polyester
Sole grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate (0.6 for this model) on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we also assess the quality of our soles on the field, in the mountains, by a panel of young testers.
Waterproofing test
Tested both in the lab and real-world usage, this footwear guarantees optimum waterproofing and breathability. To start, they are immersed in water with pressurized air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the boot. Next, the boots are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.For this model, the test lasted the equivalent of 2.5 miles under the conditions mentioned above.
Making waterproofing last longer
A boot's waterproofing is often undermined by water getting in from the top of the boot. Using waterproof gaiters or mini gaiters is therefore recommended to keep your feet dry for longer by protecting the top part of your boots and prevent water from getting in as well as pebbles, sand, etc.Use of a re-waterproofing spray is recommended several times per year. This will help your boots recover their original water-repellent qualities and combat outer stains.
Which size should i select
For hiking, do not hesitate to buy 1 size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the boot. Tip: Keep your toenails short, and before going downhill at any time, check that your laces are tight enough to stop your feet slipping down toward the front of the boots.
Buying tips
Allow kids to try on both boots, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Check 2 comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying boots on.Gradually start using your boots during your first few hiking trips to break them in. You can find and print the pedometer and check the kid's foot length.
Removable insole
Removable insole for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.
Our environmental approach
Because we are aware that we must act to preserve our playground, Quechua is committed to limiting the environmental impact of its products. Today, this product is not eco-designed, but we work every day to make it more responsible: Eco-design, repairability, and durability are at the heart of our development process.
Product testing
Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are beautiful, simple, and technologically advanced. We then test them ruthlessly in the field, because we believe that the only way to continually improve is to conduct tests in the real-life conditions that kids will experience.
