This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 L of water / sqm / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains. A component with a 2000 mm waterproof rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2000 mm column of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour downpour). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2,000 Schmerbers).
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapor generated by physical activity can escape and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = little or no breathability.
Can be folded into the pocket and worn around the waist. Central zipper opening, hood, elasticated wrists and waistband
Resistance to wear test: for example, we carry out laboratory tests to check that the fleeces do not pill. Colorfastness test: we check colorfastness to ensure that colors do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Aging test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric's original properties, including its shape, thickness or appearance.
1/ Machine wash (86 to 104°F): close rip-tab fastenings, gentle detergent. Wash jackets and pants inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine, as: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix different types of clothes or colors. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Dry either on a washing line or in the drier (minimum temperature, minimum duration).
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
Our design team is based at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are attractive, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, because we believe that the only way to continuously improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience in use.
