This coat is exactly what my son needed and is a great price for why it is! The fit is great! I have zero complaints.
Hi Andy,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about this jacket! We are so happy to hear that your son loves it! :)
Kristen
An everyday jacket.
Bought this for my grandson and it’s just what he needed for the rain showers we have been having recently
Great value waterproof jacket, lightweight makes it good for summer, he wears it everyday for school and it's wearing well, sizing is spot on too, will probably get another one for next summer, only improvement would be if it were available in more colours
I let my son (8) choose his own raincoat in store & this is the one he opted for. He said he liked the bright colours & also the fact that it was lined with a fine mesh - apparently the unlined ones really make him sweat uncomfortably. He's worn it a few times now in wet weather, from a light drizzle to full-on downpour & it kept him dry. I like that it's an unusual colourway as his navy & black ones have often 'gone missing' at nursery & school in the past as they're so common. I'd highly recommend this & all the other various Quechua branded products I've bought from Decathlon, from tents to sleeping bags to hiking boots to tops - always very impressed with good designs, attention to detail, durability etc.
My son really likes this coat and for the price excellent value hasn't really been tested by a heavy downpour so can't comment on how it copes with wet weather
Good product, would recommend.
This coat does the job for our 3 year old. Luckily we bought it in time for all the Manchester rain we have had recently. He normally hates waterproof coats as they are restricting, but he loves wearing this one, plus it is so light and yet durable. An absolute gem and amazing value for money :)
Well worth it!
My 11 year old boy loves this jacket. It's a bright colour to find in when out and about and it just works.
Bought age 8 for my 6 1/2 year old. Big but not ridiculous as you can tighten cuffs and bottom. Great colour, more orange than red.
Excellent value for money
Great choice for little boys
This is a great jacket but my son (5) finds the zip a bit fiddly to use so school have asked if we can send him in with a different jacket so it won't get the use we had wanted it to.
Great little jacket that's perfect for our 5yr old. He loves it and it keeps him dry.

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane
Component waterproofing
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the JIS 1092 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This clothing was validated in a shower test using 60 L/sqm/hr of water for 1 hour. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.A component with a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm can withstand the pressure exerted by a 5,000 mm column of water (which is roughly equivalent to a 1 hour rain shower).
Component breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabricRET ≤ 12: breathable fabricRET ≤ 20: little or no breathability
Durability of the components
Resistance to wear and abrasion test: for example, we check that our fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in laboratories. Colour retention test: the colour fastness is verified to ensure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing should not affect the fabric's properties, behaviour, thickness or appearance.

Care
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): fasten hook and loop tabs and zips, use gentle detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix clothing styles and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach or fabric softener5/ Rinse thoroughly followed by a gentle spin cycle.6/ Dry either on a washing line or in the drier (minimum temperature & duration)
