Product Customer Reviews

Fantastic, durable, comfortable and waterproof . Very happy customer.
Perfect for my boy, he like it.
Great Snow Boots .. Wore them in Iceland a few weeks ago and definitely good boots
Purchased for winter trip to Europe, great quality, comfortable for all situations, warm & DRY highly recommend for kids.
Bad experience
Great boots
After three months, the top fabric around big toe and little toe came off.
I have small feet and do wear children shoes. They are perfect for me, warm, comfortable and my favourite Colors.
Size and feel was perfect for a fussy child that normally doesn’t like any boots. These went on and he didn’t want to take them off.
Great value and very comfortable
I am always hesitant to buy "non Gore Tex" products that state they are waterproof. Bought those for our 9 year old daughter after wearing Salomon and Super Fit Gore Tex for years. Tested the shoes the afternoon I bought them by placing her in 6cm deep water (well below the "waterproof line" of the shoes) and waited 5 minutes. Instantly they leaked in every seam of the shoe. The only waterproof thing about those shoes is the repellent (that will wear off in no time). Will return them! FYI, a Gore Tex shoe (properly waterproof) will never leak in the test above, no matter for how long you stand there. Avoid if you need waterproof, buy if you´re happy with a non-waterproof "waterproof hiking shoe". Prepare to be disappointed the day its really wet.
First boots my son has had which he will put on even if we aren't going for a walk. He loves them. Supportive and comfortable for summer walking
Good shoes. Would recommend.
These boots are a good fit, the kid likes them and enjoys wearing them while hiking in the highlands. The boots give good grip and support while on rough ground. They are comfortable and look good too.
Best pair of boots I’ve had in a long time and the cheapest too. The price doesn’t compromise the quality with these boots and they are sooooooo comfortable! Fab purchase

Sole grip
The sole design that has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber composition to optimize grip and traction. Because all needs are different, we always search for the best compromise for muddy and dry terrain.
Waterproofing test
Having been tested in the laboratory and in use, the boots equipped with NOVADRY® provide optimal waterproofing and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Then they are placed on a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water to check that the inside of the shoe remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing, i.e. 2,000 flexes (about 2 hours of walking), 4,000 flexes (about 4 hours of walking) and 8,000 flexes (about 8 hours of walking). Naturally, after this test or in use, the waterproofing of the boot will be restored when it is dry again. The junior Forclaz 500 high shoes are waterproof to 4,000 flexes.
Making waterproofing last longer
The waterproofing of shoes is often compromised because water gets in at the collar of the shoe. To keep your feet dry for longer, it is therefore advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will prevent not only water from getting inside through the top, but also pebbles, sand, etc. It is advisable to use a waterproof spray several times a year. This restores the original water-repellent properties and prevents staining.
Purchase advice
Let your child try on both boots, standing up, with the socks used for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check the following 2 areas of comfort: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill. There should be no compression points when fitting. Do not hesitate to have your child walk in the shop. Gradually increase the amount of time they wear the shoes during the first walks to break the shoes in.
Which size should you choose?
For hiking, do not hesitate to choose 1 size above your usual size to ensure optimal comfort when going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe. Advice: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forward inside the shoe.
Laboratory test
Further laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated aging.
