Product Customer Reviews

My kid loved it. Keeping him warm in swim training.
I bought a size 8yr and a size 10yr for my 7yr old boy. Neither fit - these are absolutely tiny!
As good as the leading brands
Nice item but bought largest size 14 for my 10 year old and it certainly won't last until next year, while all wetsuits seem to come up small and need to be snug the sizing just seems off.
Bought this wet suit for my small 8 year old. Can't fault the speed of delivery for click and collect at Asda. It would be a great product except that the size was WAY OFF. My small 8 year old couldn't get it over her knees!! I would genuinely say it was more like age 4-5!! Such a pity as I would recommend if the sizing was accurate! I thought it had the wrong label on it but when I checked the inside label attached to the actual garment said age 8!!
Utter rubbish. Bought age 12 and it wouldn’t even fit my very slender and fairly short 9 year old. The arms measured about 2 inches, the neck hole was under 3 inches. Had to go back
Disappointed daughter on her birthday when the Age 14 was way too small for (younger) her.
Bought this suit for my 11 year old, normal sized daughter. After reading the reviews I decided to buy way bigger than I thought as everything pointed towards it being a small fitting. She is 11 - I went for age 14! Couldn't get it to the top of her legs! This thing is tiny, The age 14 one, in my opinion looks like it would be for an 8-9 year old at most.
Way too small - annoying to be spending money on delivery when items are quite frankly incorrectly sized. Should have read the reviews.
We bought this online for out 9 year old who is quite skinny. We thought a "10 year old" who be plenty big enough but it was too small
Unfortunately this was too small for my 12 year old son. Otherwise ok
My daughter is 9, smallest girl in her class. I have ordered a wetsuit for 10yo and surprisingly it was short and tight for her. Unfortunately I have to return the item. It would be nice if there was a real measurement for garments to avoid disappointment.
I got size 8 for my 7 year old and it's way too small. More likely to fit a 5/6 year old!! Not much stretch in it at all.
Bought the age 10 for my 9 year old son who is tall and skinny. I doubt it would fit a 6 year old, it's tiny and no stretch in it at all. Couldn't get it past his hips. Fabric is also very thin and feels cheap but I guess it's to be expected at this price.
Ended up trying 3 different sizes for my 12 year old. Even the 14 was too small

How to choose the right wetsuit? (part 1)
The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature.Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year.Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range:Warm water above 68°F.Temperate water between 62 and 72°F.Cold water between 53 and 62°F.Very cold water between 45 and 54°F.Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit? (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models.NB: the 900 models are easier to put on.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water).Try it on before you buy it!
Materials
This OLAIAN shorty 500 is made from neoprene for even better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
Neck
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.
Fastening
Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Zipper pull
We are required by law to put a short cord on the zippers of junior products to prevent the risk of strangulation for the youngest users. Above size 10 years, the cords are long so that the children can use them by themselves. A small rip-tab prevents accidental opening of the zipper during use.
Key pocket
There is a key pocket under the zipper flap. From size 10 years.
Anti-chafing design
We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.
Product testing
Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory-tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.
Storage instructions
In a dry, ventilated place. Avoid heat sources. To extend the life of your top, do not leave it out to dry in direct sunlight. Machine washing is not recommended.
