Good quality and design
Great product. Sizing is out of whack. My child is an average size 6 & I ended up buying a size 10. The size 6 was way too small.
Cheap and does the job

The product is perfect for my daughter who is just starting to swim and keeps her warm in the pool . But do note she is 4 years old but the size that fit her was actually not one mentioned as 4Y but had to buy 6Y. Make sure you buy 1 size bigger . From a quality , cost effectiveness and convenience of shopping at decathlon - This is a 5 Star all the way !!

This wetsuit gives more warm to body.
Thank you for your review for the review for the 100 Child's 1.5mm Neoprene Blue Shorty Surfing wetsuit!
Spot on! This wetsuit was designed at 1.5mm thickess with neoprene material to 'trap' warmth under the suit so your child can stay comfy under the cold water! It's really easy to put on as the the zip behind is designed to be pulled down instead of upwards. The seams on the material is stretchable to promote freedom of movement so your child can swim and surf freely
The Age 10 I purchased would be nearer age 6-7.
Wish I had read the reviews and size chart... got a size 8 for my 7 year old, didn't even consider he would need the 10 year old... we were standing at the beach so it got used but wont again until my 3 year old fits it!!
Great value for money but make sure you size up! Bought an age 4 and 6 for my two daughters who are both quite small for their age (4&6) in the hope there would be some growing room in these. I know wetsuits are supposed to be snug but there’s no way my 4 year old could have even got one leg in the age 4!! It would fit an average 2 year old! Instead the age 6 fits her perfectly and we’re having to order an age 8 for my 6 yr old!
For those wondering, I thought it might be worth mentioning this is not only compatible with Decathlon and GoPro cameras. It will work with most action cameras that have a case, as the attachment is fairly standard. For example I've attached a DJI Osmo Action camera to it, and it works perfectly. Altogether a good, cheap, brilliant accessory for the mask
Bought for my child’s swimming lesson, found it fits well and good thick material. Quite impressed!

The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 45 and 54°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models, and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models. NB: the 900 models are easier to put on.
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water). Try it on before you buy it!
This OLAIAN 100 shorty is made of neoprene for better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 1.5 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.
Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
We are required by law to put a short cord on the zippers of junior products to prevent the risk of strangulation for the youngest users. Above size 10 years, the cords are long so that the children can use them by themselves. A small rip-tab prevents accidental opening of the zipper during use.
We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.
When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties. - in cold water (54 - 63°F): High booties (boots) and gloves. - in very cold water (44 - 54°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top ... Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading or SUP (stand-up paddle boarding).
Tribord surfing products have now become OLAIAN products, the new Decathlon brand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding and skimboarding. Gradually, the branding of all our surfing products will be replaced. This is why your product may have a different logo from the one in the picture illustrating the product.
Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory-tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.
