700 Brace Review

Great fit, materials and quality. Been buying & wearing other brands for years. Best one I have ever used. Terrific value too.

Painful and not effective

I have bought the brace to support my knee when hiking however the product rubs against the skin on the back of the knee and leaves bruises. It is also painful to wear because the side plates poke into the quadriceps. After one hour hiking I noticed that it was sliding down . So I pull even tighter on the velcro straps but did not hep and hurt more. Unfortunately I cannot return it since I used twice.

Although this item is sturdy and supportive, the back is completely 'closed' which means that the fabric bunches uncomfortably in the crease behind the knee. This is not too bad if walking, when the knee joint doesn't flex a great deal, but is unsuitable for other activities such as bowling, and I would NOT consider wearing it for cycling - it would simply be too painful. My advice would be to look for a support with an open back to allow the knee to flex comfortably.

Bought this on the reviews. I must say it was money well spent. I have a problem with knee strain which I acquired whilst working. Within 2 days of putting this on, I felt very comfortable, even the swollen knee has reduced. You can take the side supports out so you can where loose jeans on top. Very comfortable would bye again.

Hurts my lower knee

Doesn’t help instability at all, hurts my knee after using for a few hours

Snowboardser's must have

Used on my leading leg (the one foot fixed to the board). Essential to stop knee rotation ACL when waiting to get on the chair lift. it's also good to help you on the slopes as you snow board. I used a soft Tarmak leg sleeve on my othe knee.

Use the support for a knee injury and works well

Strong 700 adult knee brace

For someone who had an ACL many years ago and who has a skiing trip coming up, this brace is a must, just to give that extra support. Having owned one previously, but lent it to someone and not getting it back, Decathlon had the perfect replacement, at a competitive price. Jon H

Great value and quality

I brought this a while ago after having acl ligament reconstruction to my knee and I feel that it's really helped me through the recovery. It doesn't restrict your movement other than offering the right amount of stability and it's very comfortable so that's the reason for 5 stars. I misplaced it a couple of weeks ago but I will definitely be buying another to replace it.

Arthritic knee

Works great, but may wear rapidly

Secure and comfy

Tried lots of knee braces over the years. Tore cartilage age 7! Removed age 10... 28 years hard graft in the army. London marathon 2004. Now trying to get fitter / lose weight again and the strong knee brace is excellent. The light one good for normal day use. Found the mid one a bit awkward for mountain biking.

Why wear this knee support?

Wearing a knee support may be recommended if you have suffered ligament damage or you are unsure how your knees will hold up when you get back into sport (basketball, football, handball, tennis, running, trail running, gymnastics, judo, skiing) after a sprain. It is easy to put on and has airy fabric and a shape designed to suit your knee and keep you comfy.

What is a sprain?

A sprained knee is when you stretch or tear one or more ligaments in your knee: the medial collateral ligament (MCL), fibular collateral ligament (LCL), the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). Sprains are not a serious problem when the ligaments are just stretched. They become fairly serious when the lateral ligaments alone are torn. Serious sprains are those when one of the cruciate and/or lateral ligaments is torn completely.

Which size of knee support do you need?

Measure around your leg, 3" above your kneecap. Then match the measurement taken with the following size chart: Size 1: 14.2" - 15.4" Size 2: 15.4" - 16.9" Size 3: 16.9" - 18.5" Size 4: 18.5" - 20.1"

Why protect your knees?

The knee is an important joint that is used heavily for sports activities. It absorbs impacts and stabilizes you as well as withstanding huge stresses, particularly when running, jumping, landing and changing direction. Falling over when skiing is also particularly risky for your knees.
