Product Customer Reviews

not good size
Really nice hiking jacket... .except that I use it for playing Pétanque [boules] and not hiking. The quilted front, arms, and back act as a decent windbreak. The inside has a fleece component that is under the quilted front, this goes over the shoulders to just below the shoulder blades. This is an extremely warm garment having lower back and sides in a stretch fabric. Originally, I purchased this in XXL, my normal size, but found I couldn't wear much underneath as it was tight in the armpit; I gave it to a friend who is XL and loves it and I went for XXXL.
Exactly what I needed underneath my ski shell jacket, keeping me nice and warm. Great close fit too. Received good comments from mates who thought it was from a much more expensive brand!
I'm a big fan of this type of top. Windproof, keeps out most of the rain but also very breathable, so it's great for running and cycling. Stretch panels make it comfortable but I'd agree with others that you should try it on to get the best fit. Longish length is great for cycling and for staying tucked into a climbing harness. Tempted to buy another in case Decathlon stop making it.
I have been using this top as a cycling jacket, rather than for cross-country skiing. However, I think the comments apply equally. I would normally take a size medium, but the sleeves were too short, so I took a size large instead, which has longer sleeves, but they are still about 2cm shorter than ideal. This jacket needs a longer cuff on the sleeve. The style of cuff used in the B Twin 500 cycling jacket would be perfect for this jacket. The small chest pocket takes a smart phone, but the zip pull is too small to easily handle when wearing gloves. It would be nice to have an internal pocket as well. The jacket is warm and coped well with energetic cycling at 5 degrees C, without overheating, when wearing a short-sleeved baselayer underneath. However, when standing or when stationary, the lack of insulation around the lower back is noticeable. If you were wearing a rucksack, I think this would be fine, but without a back pack, there is a need for more insulation in this area. The insulation and windproofing at the front of the jacket is excellent. The fit is generally very good, although the arms are a little short (this is a general problem with Decathlon active clothing). The choice of materials is innovative and the quality/price ration is excellent. There is nothing even approaching this quality of jacket in this price range. Overall I would say that this is a well-designed jacket with a few minor fit issues. With some minor development, this could be an excellent mountain biking, cycle adventure or winter cycling jacket as well as a cross-country ski jacket. I've not tested it in heavy rain, but it performed well over half an hour of light rain as a walking jacket.
Having read a number of reviews , I have been searching your website in a bid to purchase a few items of Quechua clothing. Unfortunately the size I am looking for ( XL) is not readily available . Is there a reason why your stocks appear to be so limited ?
Saw this in store and ordered online to get my size as it is a snug fit. This is an excellent top for cross country skiing, winter biking or just as a warm mid layer when walking the dog. It has a thin stretch back panel which allows heat to vent so it is particularly good when wearing a rucksack. Also the rubber grip around the hem stops the top riding up at the back which is a nice touch. This is fast becoming my go to warm layer for all sorts of occasions.
I bought large, which is an ‘athletic’ fit ie quite tight fitting for a large, but I really liked this. The only thing I would add are thumb loops. Would have had five stars if these were in place
I would this product to every lean guy Not fatty ones like me
Very bad product
I need to buy this
The quality of the product and fitting is too good
Good quality, compact
Awesome and stylish jacket

Fleece material: insulated thanks to air
The fleece component is designed to trap the air thanks to the volume created by its texture; this air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air.
* warmth of the material
* Comparative study completed in the laboratory with walking conditions and mild wind (3.1 mph). These products are tested as part of an outfit with boots, socks, pants, a first layer, a second layer and a third layer for hiking in cold weather and across snow-covered terrain. Every individual feels the cold differently.
Component breathability
To find out whether a component is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapor generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability.
Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind considerably increases the sensation of the cold. With an outdoor temperature of 32°F with a wind speed of 12.4 mph, the temperature felt will be 14°F. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". Creating a barrier from the wind, they effectively reduce the loss of heat.
