I weared it 5 months every single day during my thrue hike in New Zealand (TE ARAROA 3200 kms). Currently it is still good, there are not holes and the fabric are still pretty good. i like it because it is pretty light and the jacket can dry pretty quickly (sweat, rain..). I used it under rain, sun, storm. .
Worn every day as a second layer for 6 days of climbing and camping. A little bit of wind resistance, very comfortable, good for layering.
Smart hooded top, easy to pack and wear and to take with you and washes, and dries so quickly.
This softshell is perfect for living in Scotland where you will likely get rained on and blown about by the wind for 11 of the 12 months of the year. The jacket is very light. The material is firmly made but feels soft when on. The added thumb holes made it good for pulling over the wrists to keep you warm or dry during a sudden wet shower. Because the jacket is so light it can easily be worn under waterproof jackets or warm puff jackets as an extra layer. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have a drawcord around the bottom of the jacket, but it doesn't need one. It has three zipper pockets and is good material so it is hard to fault it. For the price, it is a steal.
Bought this jacket for my grandson who absolutely loves.
I wanted something that would keep the wind off me whilst walking. This is great; it's light, lovely long sleeves with thumb holes, the zip goes just high enough to do the job of keeping your neck warm without leaving you feeling throttled, and miraculously, the hood stays up without any cord to tighten it. If you get caught in a shower, it also does a fair job of keeping the rain off you. All this, and it's light and easy to roll up and put in the smallest of bags. Love it.
Brilliant used it doing the yorkshire dales three peaks in june very windy on on ingleborough , jacket worked really well
For hiking, I wear this with a Forclaz Techwool 190 merino wool base layer and it keeps me at a comfortable temperature while I am moving. I bought a fairly close fitting size, so that it doesn't flap about and am happy with this choice. It gives me about as much added warmth as a fleece, but with added wind protection and some rain protection, too. I particularly like the hood, which is close-fitting and made from really thin material. When you are not using the hood, it doesn't get in the way at all. I sometimes wear a cap under the hood, to provide a brim - particularly when it starts raining. The water repellency is good. I don't need to rummage in my pack for a waterproof at the first sign of rain. On a showery day, I am happy walking through 10-15 minutes of rain without worrying about getting wet. The pockets are a good size. Large enough for a buff and gloves and still fit your hands in, or gloves and buff is one side with a hat in the other. Below 5 degrees, I would wear this as a mid-layer and put a jacket over the top. Above 12 degrees and I switch to just wearing a shirt. If I could change anything about this jacket, it would be the length of the sleeves. I don't need the long sleeves with thumb holes. I may cut them shorter and sew a new hem. Having said that, the material is thin enough that, even bunched up, the extra sleeve length doesn't cause a problem.
Although this jacket is good quality, it does not have all the features from this page. I was disappointed to find there is no drawcord on the hem as advertised and no adjustable sleeves. This means that it will be no good for trad climbing or long mountain days as the wind easily gets in as the waist is loose.

I really like this jacket. I tend to wear it when warming up for running and/or standing around before a race. It is nicely wind resistant and surprisingly water repellant too, but I would not say that it is a warm jacket - you still need to be doing activity to stay warm in this really (if wearing in chilly weather...!). I like the fact that it is stretchy. I am tempted to wear it rock climbing but I like it too much to risk ruining it on the rocks!
Great jacket for price to cut the chill on breezy summer days. Shrugs off light showers too. Light but not flimsy. Only caveat would be to double check the sizing, I'm usually on the smaller side of medium but the jacket is a close fit, not a problem in this case as I bought it for cycling
Love it. Hardly a day when I don't look forward to pulling it on.
good

Hi Akshay
We thank you for investing your valuable time in reviewing our product from your personal experience which helps us to understand the concerns faced by our valuable users.
We apologise to you for not being able to provide you with the best service and yet we would love to help you through the concern.
At Decathlon, we provide for different grades of Ussage like Basic, intermediate and advanced.
The above-mentioned product is designed as a wind sheeter for an expert-level trek user while trekking which should manage the perfect ventilation with basic windproofing.
I believe since the product is designed with lots of ventilation ports, your usage will not be met with a lot of warmth since air flows in order to cool down the sweat.
If you need further detail on the return, or exchange and processes let me know the detail about the store of purchase and date of purchase to understand and assess the feasibility of the process.

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 93.0% Polyester, 7.0% Elastane ; Yoke: 88.0% Polyester, 12.0% Elastane ; Lining: 100.0% Polyester
Sizing and fit information
Quite a close-fitting cut. The jacket's inner volume allows you to wear it over a thin second layer such as a micro-fleece.
Pocket system
2 hand pockets + 1 chest pocket with zipper fastener.
Jacket hem drawstring
Elastic drawstrings and toggles.
The product benefit
The thumb loop on the cuff to prevent loss of heat and more comfort when moving.
Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind causes the perceived temperature to decrease considerably! With an outside temperature of 32°F and 12 mph winds, it will feel like the temperature is 15°F. ”Windproof” components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this ”freezing effect.” They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Water-repellent property of the component (different from waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. In this way, the fabric does not become waterlogged.A fabric becomes water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend every 3 washes) by placing the jacket in the dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature. You can also use the FORCLAZ re-waterproofing spray (ref 8554908)
