Proven to be resistant under heavy rain last week
Good light jacket with plenty of pockets which I need. Kept the rain out cooking sausages for 2 hours. Great!
Handy number of pockets for treats, balls, and mobile phone and wallet. Particularly like the fit of the hood.
I also bought a down jacket to layer with this but it works just as well alone. Great fit and cut for me.
Love it. I'm using this parka as the outer shell of my everyday layering system over the winter. I've had shell jackets 3x the price of this that overall feel so much cheaper. Sizing wise, I'm 6'2, slim and usually a medium, yet going by the reviews I decided on the large - it fits my build perfectly with just enough room to comfortably wear a thick knit jumper underneath. Waterproofing is certainly holding up too, I've spent 3-4 hours out in drizzle plus the odd downpour and come home dry.
Bought this for my father and he loves it.
The coat does a decent job at keeping you dry, but the hood is too small.The whole coat hangs on the top of your head and its uncomfortable. Add 5cm of material and make it nicer for us.
Smashing jacket. Good fit. Perhaps an inch short on the body but I've a long body so it's down to my build. Very waterproof. Good pockets. I would like main outside pockets to be side opening instead of top but can't have everything. Zip and collars are spot on. I've been rained on and remained dry. I like this jacket as its incredibly lightweight so I can stay dry but not over heat
I bought this for my father as I've been extolling to him the virtues of Decathlon for a while now. Originally ordered online in a Large, which fit, but was slightly restrictive when worn with layers. For the first time in my life I returned an item which I bought online and the process couldn't have been made any simpler. It was a genuinely excellent service and the new coat in XL was with me in a matter of days. The coat itself is great and lives up to its waterproof billing, very good value.
This jacket is light and easy to wear with good pockets. I haven't yet tested it in prolonged rainfall so I have to trust that it's waterproof for 2 hours as described. A small men's size is a perfect for me as a size 12 woman.

Lightweight, wind proof and waterproof, excellent purchase for walking. The sizes are smaller than labelled for Uk, suggest purchasing next size up
Bought this for my husband. It’s a lovely fit and a great colour (got the blue one).
Very good jacket. Light and easily packable. Good size useful pockets but would have been better if inner pocket was a little larger. Good easily adjustable hood. Very light weight and waterproof. Easy to use as part of a layering system.

Waterproofing of the garment
We have validated this garment via shower-test, using 60 liters of water/sqm/hour for 1 hour. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower. The fabric of this jacket is water-repellent, i.e. it makes water run off its surface without absorbing it. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and breathable. Fabric is made water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer part. In addition,we sealed 100% of the seams.
Waterproofing of the component
We measure the resistance of a fabric to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a 2000 mm impermeability rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (which corresponds roughly to a shower lasting 2 hours).
How to maintain the waterproofing of your jacket over time
In order to maintain good waterproofing, the fabric's water-repellent properties must be reactivated: we recommend doing this every 3 washes or after a dozen uses in the rain. After washing, the product must be rinsed thoroughly and then the water-repellent property is easily reactivated by warming the fabric: either in your tumble dryer or with a hair dryer, for example, over a relatively short period. You will find all our advice in the instructions of this product data sheet.
High-tech hood
The hood can be adjusted in height with a drawstring. It can be adjusted in depth thanks to a velcro strip at the back of the hood. The hood has a shape memory visor for a good protection of the face.
Component breathability
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the resistance, the more the fabric lets out water vapor generated by an active body, and the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = fabric has little or no breathability.
How to choose your waterproof jacket according to your sports discipline and the intensity of your physical activity
During sports, the extent to which we perspire depends on the intensity or duration of the physical activity. If the breathability of the fabric is not adapted to your type of physical activity, the perspiration vapor condenses inside the jacket. You feel damp inside: this is condensing perspiration vapor, rather than rain getting inside. You therefore need to choose a rain jacket according to your type of physical activity. This jacket is designed for a 1-day hike at a rate of 3 mph max.
Technical linings
The double-lining of the jacket is composed of 2 materials: mesh in the back to enhance the breathability of the garment, and nylon at the hips to maximize the freedom of movement and to increase wear-resistance. For the hood, we used a brushed fabric, for a peach skin effect, with an exceptionally soft touch for extra comfort.
Full pocket system
7 pockets in total! 2 side pockets to warm your hands. 2 large outside bellow pockets with flap and snap button. 1 outer chest pocket and 1 inside pocket with zipper to keep belongings safe. 1 inside mesh pocket for your gloves, for example, to keep them warm against your body!
