Product Customer Reviews

Could not be happier with this shoe...terrific quality inside and out!
I'm training for Oxfam trailwalker 2019 (and I have giant feet for a girl so here I am in the men's section) so for the price point these shoes have exceeded my expectations. Not much padding but very breathable. Also not water proof but great for dry days bushwalking.
First time that I have bought anything from Decathalon and didn't know the Quechua brand. For the price I was surprised at the quality and was expecting to be let down or a quick turnover of shoes. They have been amazing, great grip & contact on uneven trails, light, very cool with lots of ventilation. Downside is zero water resistance but they don't hold any water or get heavy & slushy when you land in a big puddle or mud.
I bought the largest size possible for me. Even so, the shoes are too tight in the front and hurt my fingers a lot. I am very disappointed with the product.
This is my 2nd pair. Great, comfortable walking shoes that I use mostly on cycling holidays. Very cool in hot weather and, if they get dirty, clean them in the shower and they're good to go the next day. Will continue to buy them as long as they're available.
I’m a walking postman and I hike the mail around the hilly areas of Eastern Suburbs in Sydney, Australia with a hiking pack, averaging 15km per day. I’ve worn this shoe 5 days a week for the last 22 weeks and they’ve been amazing. Breathable and good gripping. Only just starting to wear out now, and other brands wear out after only 3 months. A+
I have owned for one week and have been using for casual everyday walking in town, and already after only 1 week the outer rubber has started breaking where the toes bend, extremely dissapointing, also they are a bit clunky with quite a bit of room at the back of foot,so far the rest of the shoe has been great am really just dissapointed with the rubber outside, clunkiness i can live with, unless it is just mine, i would not reccomend these.
Is that product durable or not???
Good delivery. Correct size. Simply did not fell comfortable and the heel always slipped. The size was perfect, but even though other, older Quechua shoes were perfect, this new design is a fail for me. After bearing with them for a couple of weeks and a collective time use of less than 5 days, I dropped them off in a charity bin - maybe someone else can make better use of them.

I bought these shoes as I used similar merel shoes for a couple of years now, but these looked more durable on the outside. After using them a couple of times I realised these are way hotter, even when its 20degC and sunny. I expected them to be very airy, because of the mesh construction, but it seems that all the plastic used just does not dissipate heat well... I like how they look like though and they do fit my foot quite well. Another problem is the tongue gets easily crinkled, so I need to take care when I put them on so they do not hurt. I would recommend buying the Merrell Maipo over these shoes for comfort, but the Quechua might be more durable as they don't have as many laces on the outside of the shoe, which can get torn.
Took a while to wear them in from new - I almost gave up on them... But once worn in they have become my shoes of choice for hikes, cycling and even as casual shoes as I find them quite attractive in an understated way. I added "glow" lime stretch laces purchased cheaply from that well-known sports goods store.
Hi Friends, I would recommend this shoes to those who luv to walk a lot, this is that product for which you waiting for. I have just bought this shoes from Decathlon, after wearing this shoes I don't feel like removing. Kudos to QUECHUA Team for providing such a awesome product.
I really recommend this shoes if you are walking a lot. Very light and comfortable. Thank you

Crosscontact sole
The sole’s design is the result of long-term research carried out in our labs. We have designed a special rubber to optimize your grip and traction. Each trail requires different things from your footwear, so we are always searching for the best solution to cover all terrains, whether you’re treading on natural, loose trails (e.g. forests), or crossing rocky terrains (e.g. coastline).
Fresh technology
Our design for the Fresh shoes combines a very breathable upper, and a sole construction that facilitates the removal of moisture. This concept has been tested in our labs and in the field, by testers and users, guaranteeing that you will keep that dry foot feeling throughout your summer walks.
How should i choose the size of my walking boots?
Given its very fine and breathable elements, the NH500 tends to size large. Don’t hesitate to get the size below your usual size. Try on both shoes, standing up, wearing walking socks. We advise that you try on several models, in several sizes. To ensure optimal comfort, here are 2 points to check: the base of the heel and the position forefoot when stepping down. Avoid any pressure points when fitting and don’t hesitate to
Designed for use on off-road trails
Our walking shoes are designed for use on off-road trails. We choose the elements of the sole and upper of our shoes and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to walking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (asphalt) may lead to premature wear on your shoes and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking
Laboratory testing
We conduct lab tests to validate the following components: torn eyelets and straps, bonding, toxicology, UV resistance, wearing away of the sole and the all component parts of the upper, accelerated aging.
The boot/sock combination plays an important role.
There are multiple factors that may cause blisters when you are walking: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a boot size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important to choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your walking shoes.
How should i choose the size of my walking socks?
You must choose the right sock size for your foot so that there are no additional creases in the sock. If your sock is to big, there will be too much material around your feet, whereas if your sock is too small, it will get pulled inside the boot.
How should i choose the material of my walking socks?
Moisture must be effectively managed when hiking: We sweat; it’s bound to happen. If your boot is breathable, it will eliminate the moisture of your perspiration: we therefore recommend choosing a lightweight and breathable pair of socks. If your boots are relatively waterproof, you will not make the same choice to protect you from the moisture of the rain: choose a sock that will absorb your sweat, and direct it as far as possible away from your foot
What socks should you wear with the nh500 fresh shoe?
We recommend that you choose a pair of socks made of polyamide, without cotton. Polyamide is a fiber that is specially chosen for its capacity to eliminate moisture. So when you sweat, the socks made of polyamide will eliminate any moisture. Then, your boots will take over the task of wicking away the moisture to the outside thanks to the ventilated mesh. We recommend the Newfeel WS 500 FRESH socks.
Warranty
Our walking shoes are guaranteed for 2 years. Our commitment? To offer you long-lasting products that you can use on all your nature hikes. Because the products we like the most are those with a story behind them that is still continuing!

Product testing
It is in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, that our design team imagined, thought up & designed the Quechua products We test them on the terrain with other walkers to make sure they perform as they should in terms of comfort & resistance. From the forest of Fontainbleau, to Brittany, to give a few examples. We ventured out onto as many trails as possible, in all weather conditions. It was highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback & start thinking about our future collections
