Additional recommended products
"Rain-Cut Pant" overpants protect the lower body and provide comprehensive, highly-effective protection from the wind and rain showers. Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimize the garment's performance throughout its lifetime.
We test a fabric's resistance to water pressure by measuring the height of a column of water supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm can withstand the pressure exerted by a 2000 mm column of water (the equivalent of a 2-hour downpour approximately).
Component water repellent property
A fabric is water-repellent when water slides over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The water resistance is achieved by treating the fabric surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended with each wash at least). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All the Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.
A score for comparing the environmental impact of the products
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators.
An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same types of product (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.)
Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental impact.
