Product Customer Reviews

Bought this to replace a cheap '65 + 5L' backpack from Amazon. Always knew it was not 70L. Bought this (70+10) over the 90+10 thank god I did, its a big old backpack. but This is the perfect backpack, it literally has all the bells and whistles. Yet to test out and about but I have fully loaded it so I will explain below. In the top you have your pouch for rain cover, theres room in there for your rain jacket also, on the underside of the lid there is another zip pocket, so first aid kit, headlamp etc in there. Also in there is a zipped mesh pouch for phone wallet and a clip for keys. The 2 water bottle holders is perfect without removing other handy features such as 2 pockets on waist belt. Waist belt is thick and sturdy and does not dig in. Plenty of adjustment for shoulder width, height, waist and chest. Main compartment is absolutely huge. With everything I need in there for a hike in comfort which doesnt fit in most medium sized bags there is plenty of room upwards If I needed it. So main compartment has large synthetic sleeping bag, tent, clothes, poles and pegs, food sack, frying pan, sleeping mat, hydration bladder and stove set. jacket, waterproof trousers. Tarp, rope, fold out chair. Main side pockets quick access stuff like toiletries, spade, snacks, light, multitool etc Then still 2 mesh pockets with straps spare for light camp trainers or extra poles, and also trekking pole holders to the side. Foam sleeping mat underneath the bag. Few things hanging off the front tabs. All this comes in at around 12KG and when i set it up on my back correctly I literally did not feel any heavier. Was abit dubious about a framed backpack for the extra weight but it is true, when something fits properly you can definitely carry more. Really looking forward to taking this out. Cannot recommend enough for (initial) comfort and storage and how well thought out it is. If anything changes when I can take it out I will be sure to update
Of the different backpacks I have come across in the past 10 years this is the best backpack in the price segment in India. Built like a beast and is very comfortable on the back despite heavy loads. I am 5'11" tall and have used it for some really long treks & expeditions like Pin Bhaba & Kang Yatse (Marka Valley) with loads above 20 KG. Recommended if you are a regular trekker who treks alpine style or needs lots of space.
I have bought this bag pack before my trek which I completed recently I took this rucksack to Bali pass to test its durability seems like it's good but not up to my expectations were I thought paying 10k would be worth it, Rest assured it's good and delectable.
O.K.
good product
i bought for one of my himalayan trekking but it seems to difficult to manage this backpack may be my decision would be wrong. this bag material is so hard and top flip operation is difficult in ex trim cold. i used it once and there is hole at bottom. i thought that top flip is removable but it is not as it do not mention on online also. side pocket is also difficult to use because the items are pushed inside the bag while bag is full the it is difficult to put and take out items in side pocket. side pocketside water bottle pocket is difficult to use while i bend the steel bottle come out from pocket. if possible please replace me this bag with another. thanks. Kind Regards Hardik
9 massive pockets so lots of room for everything. adjustable everything like every strap etc. Hydration capable. Pack cover included good for three days plus in the wilderness.
When will you guys launch the 50 litre variant of this trek 900 bag in India.
Comfort is so good, One of the best rucksacks i`ve ever had.... Amazing for long distance run.... The only problem is that there is no shoe compartment in the bottom...
Good bag, but The paddling in The belt are really cheap and poor. Thinking about return The bag beacause of The paddling, so bad.
Very spacious and light weight which is good for camping
Extremely comfortable with lots of options to spread loading when carrying heavy. Ability to adjust the height of the shoulder straps is great as I'm quite tall. straps on the bottom are a good addition to carry a tent or something large on the outside of the bag, with the waterproof cover able to cover this aswell. Space inside is huge with a great amount of extra pockets and the zip to open the front makes everything in your bag accessible without having to drag the whole lot out of the top. Pockets for waterbottle being tilted is a great ergonomic feature, making it easy to access.
Bought this for a multiday tramp in the mountains overseas followed by tour around some towns. As a tall woman、 I found no problems carrying this around and it gave me bonus room compared to the women's model. The adjustment straps、 especially the belt ones were thoughtfully layed out and easy to tighten and loosen. A great feature is the detachable top that can be converted into a shoulder bag if you want to dump the rest of your gear at camp or in a hotel and explore carrying valuables etc only (in mine i fit a dslr、 a kindle、 a book and a nintendo). The interior pouch is perfect for camelback hydration bladder. The side pockets are brilliant and tough and there are smaller pockets on the waist belt! I was able to carry camping equipment、sleeping bag some clothes and had space to fit in sizable souvineers too!
...?
Convenience can be defined with this bag for any trek. I did 3 treks in 3 weeks ranging from 6 days to 2 days and it was very comfortable to carry the weight. Best part of the bag is the access of the compartment through the top.

Capacity
Extendible volume: 70 L + 10 L extra (4271.7 in3 + 610.2 in3) thanks to the adjustable height of the bag top. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: We fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %

How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. Your sleeping mat can be placed under the flap and the tent under the bag if there is no room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece at hand. In the pockets, place small items for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses...). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
Why are our rain covers gray when some trekkers want them to be brightly colored?
The gray color used for the covers of our backpacking rucksacks is neutral because it consumes less dye. The component is made of BITON: this process allows us to lower our CO2 impact and reduce consumption and water pollution in comparison to colored models. These small measures demonstrate the commitment of Forclaz to improve the environmental impact of its products.
Symbium concept
In order to be comfortable, a backpack must also be well-balanced while you walk. SYMBIUM technology is a belt hinge system that allows the rucksack to conform to the trekker's movements when hiking. The symbium system lets you say goodbye to the swinging effect that tires out trekkers.
10-year warranty
Our engineers have carried out simulated aging tests on these backpacks. These tests were conducted on the components, the seams and the finished product. The results enable Forclaz to guarantee the tested bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt
