Excellent quality

Quality is superb. The material is super sturdy. I am eager to put this on test during my next Himalayan trek and I shall update my review. One thing I didn't like about the 10L lid is, it can't be used as a 'backpack' as the straps are only on one side.

Was doubtful at first but am more than satisfied

When I was purchasing this product I was doubtful about its carrying load capacity as the back straps have a velcro attachment, but the bag performed very well on field and I never had an issue with the back straps. As for the capacity the bag has more than sufficient volume to store all the essentials and the ease of accessibility is as good as it can get. Also a bonus it has tilted bottle compartments for easily getting your bottle out and has a removable hood (capacity 10L) to be used as a napsack.

Fantastic Backpack

Very thoughtfully designed. The fabric used is very strong and cannot be worn out even if the bag touches the thorns or spiky bushes on the trail/hike. The Hood can be separated and used as a day bag. The space is larger than life. Using it for 17 days 480kms project and will be using it for 21 days Everest Base Camp and Annapurna 100 Ultra Trail Race. Adequate space for Tents, Sleeping bags, Yoga Mats. The back support has brilliant cushioning and a good snug fit so one doesn't get pain even if you hike for more than 7 hours a day. If you are an avid backpacker, this should be on your bucket list!

Just received it today... Very good product

I like this product its very sturdy and strong product and it has a complete detachable lid compartment of 10litre capacity like symbium.. It's other name is symbium 900 and trek 900 90+10ltr.. One thing i didn't like about this product is that it doesn't provide extra compartment at bottom for sleeping bags or shoes etc like Symbium70+10ltr or trek-700.... But the main compartment is very good and one thing i also want to little bit of overpriced....

Capacity

Expandable volume: 90 L + 10 liters extension (5192.1 in³ + 610.2 in³) thanks to adjustable height upper lid. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: We fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container to establish the equivalent volume in liters, within a few percentage points

How do i pack my backpack?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy equipment (tent, stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent can be placed under the bag if there's no room inside. Keep a waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, place small items for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses...). The water bladder should be placed in the specially designed compartment normally found along the back of the bag.

Why are our rain covers gray when some backpackers would prefer bright colors?

The gray-colored cover used for our backpacking backpacks is neutral and therefore uses less dye. The component is made of BITON: this process helps us limit our carbon emissions and reduce water pollution and consumption compared to colored models. Through these kind of small steps, Forclaz demonstrates its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products.

Symbium technology

In order to be comfortable, a backpack must also be well-balanced while you walk. Symbium technology consists of a jointed waistband that allows the backpack to adapt to the backpacker's movements when walking. Symbium technology means an end to the instability and see-sawing that puts a strain on the backpacker.

10-year warranty

Our engineers have carried out simulated aging tests on these backpacks. These tests were conducted on the components, seams and finished product. The results of these tests allow FORCLAZ to guarantee their bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt

In particular, our "Mission Tests" bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with DECATHLON to test, improve and validate the products. This specific model was approved by hikers touring Mont Blanc.
