Product Customer Reviews

As usual with Decathlon, the product is at least as good as name brand products but significantly cheaper. It's a good size for solo mutli day hikes with compact kit. The straps and back are comfortable. The front opening to the main compartment is handy, as are the compression straps. I've got no regrets whatsover, especially at this price. However, there's a couple of areas that could be improved for future iterations: The waterproof cover pocket is on the inside of the 'hood' of the rucksack. This a puzzling design choice, as when it rains and you want to use the cover, you have to open your rucksack to get it out. It would be preferable if this was accessed from the outside of the bag. A zipped pocked on the front of the bag would be useful. The side zidded pockets are compessed between the main bag and anything in the elasticated pockets, so aren't much use for snacks etc. The water bottle holder pockets could do with being wider. It was awkward for me to fit the 500 Tritan 1.2 L flask into these. However they work well for other bottles.
I have a number of larger 60+10 / 70+10 backpacks from other leading brands for years and this year for the family camping trip I started to get a smaller one. Although this 50+10 version is the smallest among the collection, but the sturdy body makes the room very usable. The pockets and the water bottle holder are very thoughtful too. First trip loaded including bag weight 24kg and very comfortable and well balanced on uneven paths.

Very good product
Used this for Kederkantha trekking. Capacity was good. Features was super cool.
Great
I have used it in LoBhi Trek and it managed to help me take all the required things in the bag ....I am a Heart patient having DVT issue in my leg and somewhere I was worried about how I will.l carry the Necessary things with me which is basic for trekking and also the weight should not affect my Heart related issues .....It proven now it's the best product I did not feel much weight while Trekking .
Strong built Spacious Comfortable during trek Has enough compartments Expensive though
Nice, comfortable backpack with enough space for a 6-10 days trek. Fit is ergonomic, however, the empty weight is quite on the higher side. Missed a mechanism / provision to hold a camera stand, which I feel is quite essential for any trekker.

Capacity
Extendible volume: 50 L + 10 L extra (3051.2 in3 + 610.2 in3) thanks to the adjustable height of the bag top. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: We fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of just a few %
Weight

How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy equipment near your back (tent, stove, food). Pack your clothes around these items. Your sleeping mat can be placed under the flap and the tent under the bag if there is no room inside. Keep a waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, place small items for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses...). The water bag should be placed in the compartment that is usually placed the length of the back.
Why are our rain covers gray when some trekkers want them to be brightly colored?
The gray color used for the covers of our backpacking rucksacks is neutral because it consumes less dye. The component is made of BITON: this process allows us to lower our CO2 impact and reduce consumption and water pollution in comparison to colored models. These small measures demonstrate the commitment of Forclaz to improve the environmental impact of its products.
Symbium technology
In order to be comfortable, a backpack must also be well-balanced while you walk. Symbium technology consists of a jointed waistband that allows the backpack to adapt to the backpacker's movements when walking. Thanks to the symbium system you can say goodbye to the swinging effect that tire out trekkers.
10-year warranty
Our engineers have conducted tests simulating the aging of rucksacks. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. The results enable Forclaz to guarantee the tested bags for 10 years from the purchase date shown on the receipt

Product testing
All our backpacking rucksacks are tested in use by users who represent those for whom the products are designed, in conditions similar to those found in real-life. In particular, our "Test Missions" bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with DECATHLON to test, improve and validate the products. This specific model was approved by trekkers on the Tour du Mont Blanc route.
Storage instructions
Store your bag in a dry, ventilated place away from direct light.
