If I could give this 6 stars out of 5 I would. The value here is off the charts. I challenge anyone to find an 800 to 850 fill down Jacket that is even within 100 dollars of this one. It's impossible to find another jacket with these specs for under 200 let alone 100. Aside from the specs this thing is the most comfortable jacket I have ever owned. It's the only hacker I have ever owned that doesn't feel restrictive around my shoulders/bust but yet doesnt look baggy. It literally feels like you arent wearing anything but yet you are warm. It's a strange feeling because of how light it is. This jacket even went on sale at one point for 50 bucks so I bought 2 more. Haha! Dont understand how this high of fill power can be sold at this price. Have never discovered a product that is this good of a value compared to the competition.
The jacket is very warm and the loft right out of the box was excellent! I double checked the seams, zippers, and all surfaces of the jacket and didn't see or feel any faults or loose feathers. It is exceptionally comfortable and easy to move around in. The cuffs are elastic and the hem is cinchable if you're thin to keep the wind out. It's not waterproof so I recommend a waterproof shell over it in prolonged wet conditions or a downpour. Love the pockets and zipper garage and the hood is very soft and form fitting which I feel helps it follow your head when you turn to look at something. Going to have to put the product through its paces to get a better feel for its performance but so far it's a 10/10 for me (especially compared to other jackets in this price range) and definitely going to find use both day to day and backpacking. Note: this jacket runs small. If you're a T-shirt size medium you should get the large of this jacket for standalone use and possibly the extra large if you're going to layer things under it (I may just end up getting 1 of each for these reasons. It's a darn good jacket).
Good Warmth, weight, and price. Sub par stitching. Already have loose strands throughout the jacket.
Exceptional quality. Runs very small. Normally wear an XL in the us, so I bought an XXL and I can't wear anything under it besides a base layer. The chest and torso are fine, but the arms are extremely narrow. I got excited and cut the tag, so it's too late to exchange for an XXXL
The jacket is light, has good loft and the stitching/sewing seems to be good quality - just as good as my more expensive down jacket from Patagonia’s. The design of the sleeve is bad. There is an elastic cuff but it is tucked and sewn to the end of sleeves essentially folding the sleeves. They should have left the sleeves with the elastic cuff at the end instead of folding it. Additionally, the sleeve length runs long. I’m 5”10 with above average wingspan and it’s still an inch long. You can view video reviews of this jacket online and notice the long sleeve length on those people too. Watch for the tucked sleeve at the end too. There is an elastic cuff not visible to the eye. Overall, I would still recommend it for the quality and price but wish they would update the sleeves and an inside chest zipper pocket would be nice.
So let me preface this by saying that I love this jacket. However, the sizing is a bit confusing. I originally ordered a men’s large. When I received it the outer paper tag said US L/ EU XL but the inner fabric tag said US M/ EU L. I tend to believe the inner tag because I fit into US large clothing whether it is slim fit or not. I ordered an XL and it fit perfect. So I would say if you are buying from the US you should order a size up what you would normally order. Decathalon should probably fix this in the future though because it’s a bit confusing that the 2 tags say different sizes
Thanks for the review! We're definitely looking closely and how we indicate sizes here at Decathlon in order to make buying simpler and more straightforward
Nice inexpensive hiking camp jacket. I would order it again.
I originally had to return the first jacket I ordered because of poor down filling in both sleeves. There wasn't enough down filling or the down had already prior to purchasing migrated to one side of the baffles so it left cold spots on both sleeves. It was a pretty easy return process, I'm just still waiting for the full refund. Shipping was fast too. The new one which doesn't have as bad as a problem with the fill (after throwing it in the dryer on low heat with some dryer balls, it really puffed up) but then I noticed there was some bad stitching near the main zipper of the new jacket. If you are looking for a cheaper jacket then this maybe the one for you, it actually keeps you warm but make sure to inspect your jacket fully before committing. You maybe sacrificing some quality for the low price.
I love this jacket Not only is it Inexpensive but is also extremely warm I had the chance to take the jacket with me when I went camping the high temperature of the day was 32ﾟ and the low was only 9 with the right layers underneath the jacket I was kept toasty warm Compare the price of this jacket to that of the mountain hardware ghost whisperer. For the same money you can but several of these jackets to only 1 of the Mountain Hardware jackets. I only wish there was a way to cinch the hood a little tighter other than this jacket is fantastic
Compact & light for camping & hiking
Nice jacket but not going to get you to minus 5
like the jacket it's so warm and light
Great light and warm jacket
Good for travel as it easily fits into cabin bags and small daypacks. Good for outdoor events that get a bit cool in the evening
This jacket offers great value for a pocketable mid-layer down at a very affordable price. I have only owned it for a short time but it is warm, light, and comfortable. A few improvements could be to add an adjustment cord for the hood and also to add one or two inside pockets to store more stuff. Can't really complain at this price!

This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23°F during a standardized test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 3 mph wind. We have also tested this model in "static" mode; the comfort temperature is 41°F in this case.
The fill power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation provided by the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: Down is lighter than synthetic fill while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). Down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air, and provide greater thermal insulation. For this down jacket with its 85% down/15% feather fill, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (European standard).
Our traceability system lets us guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from ducks raised for their meat and plucked after slaughter. We have been awarded RDS certification (Responsible Down Standard) by a 3rd-party organization. http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/

The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our guidance by clicking on the link below: https://www.forclaz.co.uk/advice-alias/how-should-i-look-after-my-down-jacket-tp_2579 In brief: 1/ machine wash, 86°F, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry
The material of the down jacket is water-repellent. It lets drops of water roll off the fabric, delaying water from getting in the jacket and giving you time to find shelter. We nevertheless recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. As a result, the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface; however, this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
The water-repellent treatment becomes less effective with time, washing, and use. Here is how to restore the water-repellent properties of your padded jacket! https://www.quechua.co.uk/advice/how-do-you-restore-water-repellent-properties-your-jacket-a_86426 You can also use the care product: Treatment restoring water-repellent properties https://www.decathlon.co.uk/txdirect-wash-in-300ml-id_8401685.html
