I love this top. It is very fitted, which is what I was looking for. Its comfortable and functional. However, based on wearing it half a dozen time now, I fear it will wear prematurely. That will depend what material your top layer will be comprised of.

Thank you for reviewing our MT500 hiking merino T-shirt for men.
We're happy to know that you enjoy it, it is made to prevent the spread of unpleasant odours and can thus be worn for several days in a row and carry fewer clothes when hiking.
To ensure it lasts long, we recommend machine washing your merino wool T-shirt at 30°C on a normal cycle using liquid detergent. Dry flat and never tumble dry to avoid shrinkage.
We hope this will help you keep your shirt for a long time and slow down its wear.

This is an excellent piece of kit. Feels quality, fits well and is very comfortable. Does a great job of keeping the body at just the right temperature. Highly recommended.
cost effective base layer. Fit is good, quality of materials are also good. Not the best base layer I own, but the others that are better were significantly more expensive. Cant beat this for the cost you pay.
Brilliant layering system. Really keeps you warm but lets your body breath. nice stretch panels and extra breathability under arms etc. Properly thought through
I bought this top as a gift for my husband and he loves it. He wears it for hiking and has found that in the current winter weather, he only needs to wear this top with his waterproof jacket to be ideal temperature whilst out. Great quality, fits well and washes really well.

Bought as a present for a runner who feels the cold when wet. The front panel is wool so stays warm when wet. It is light enough for running and can be used with other layers if needed. Fits well and looks great on too. He is really pleased with the top and has worn several times already
I’ve had several of these super base layers for years. Fabulous. All I. Ask is more colours. Black/grey. Maroon/ lighter maroon. The blue is good, the beige less so.
Although the product keeps me warm in the winters, it doesn't feel like Merino Wool. The clothing doesn't absorb the sweat and that could feel a bit uncomfortable with all those layers you put on in temperatures around -10 degrees Celsius.
You will feel cold even at 10degree celcius with fleece jacket outside if not active.
As the product description mentioned it is not 100 percent merino wool and purposely upper layer and sides of the jacket used different type of cloth which is very useful. It has replaced by hiking full sleeve shirt and reduce my backpack weight. But I doubt it will run a long run.

Odor control
Wool from Merino sheep naturally controls the spread of bacteria that cause bad odors. This Merino wool T-shirt can therefore be worn several days in a row and means you can take less clothes when backpacking making for a lighter backpack!
Reduction of the freezing effect
After exercise and sweating heavily, Merino wool prevents evaporation helping to maintain body temperature by absorbing the majority of the body's moisture. This therefore reduces any unpleasant chilling effect. Conversely, a synthetic material lets the body temperature go back down again quicker.
Tip before use
For a softer feel, wash your T-shirt before 1st use.
How do i wash my merino wool t-shirt?
We recommend that you machine wash your Merino wool T-shirt at 86°F on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Dry flat and NEVER tumble dry unless you want it to shrink by 1 or 2 sizes! We've tested the material in a climate chamber in order to determine its performance level. The results have proven the ability of wool to regulate temperature. After exercising and sweating heavily, the wool maintains the body temperature whereas synthetic fabric causes the temperature to drop faster. The unpleasant cooling or "freezing effect" is therefore reduced by the Merino wool.
