Product Customer Reviews

I loves these pants! I have several pairs of the full shorts version, two of the full pants, and one pair of these zip offs that I use on long distance treks. I almost always prefer hiking in shorts unless its actually cold, but in camp, or on cold mornings as I hit the trail its nice to have the legs to zip on. They're durable, have well thought out pockets, fairly lightweight, and dare I say even a bit stylish-- people always ask me about them when they seem me wearing them! My only quibble, and its a minor one, is that I sometimes find the zippers for the legs a bit finicky. Perhaps its my problem and I struggle with zippers, or perhaps its a slight defect in my particular pair, but these ones can be especially finicky, though ultimately I can get them zipped back on. Nonetheless I highly recommend these pants, especially for the price!
Very comfortable. I have only used them on trails so far so not sure how well stickers/thorns will do. The fly opening is small,
They are crazy comfy for whatever you are doing. I have tested them hiking in Shenandoah and were perfect, good fit (elastic), four big pockets with zippers, clip buckle belt, water repellent. Whenever it is too hot and the path is clear, it is super easy to turn them into shorts. My new favorite hiking pants!
When buying these pants I listened to all the other reviewers about how tight the legs are, I have chicken legs so the legs fit fine, very slim fit though. However the problem is the crotch, these feel like pants for women. There’s zero room for the boys , and it’s just plain uncomfortable. The zipper is very short in length and the pants crotch is cut too short. It’s a real bummer cause I bought 2 pairs and can’t return cause I tested them out. Would not recommend unless you like to sag your pants.
Love them
Hi Shirin,
Thank you for reviewing our men's convertible trek pants.
We are glad to hear that you are happy with them and we hope you have great hikes this summer!

Shorts and pant combo ideal for most conditions
Why do manufacturers assume that larger waist size means longer inside leg? Other manufacturers such as Brasher and Craghoppers offer a range of leg lengths. I love these trousers but they only come in 34" leg size. Due to the Zips and draw cords it is sadly not possible to hem them. Dissapointed
Bit oversized but still a great item
Not too bad but not particularly cheap. Time will tell
This is my 2nd pair of these trousers. Comfortable. Plenty of pockets although no back pocket. Lasting well. Use for hill walking but fine for everyday use also.
Love these so much I wear them allot even when not walking or hiking
Finally I've found a pair of zip off sports trousers that fit really nicely. They're well made too.
Great trousers - very comfortable
Decent quality. Early days but should take some wear. Perhaps the best value is at a rung below this pricepoint?
Good strong lightweight outdoor trousers, dry quick when wet. Found them great on Dartmoor

Accessories
2 zipped hand pockets 2 zipped thigh pockets (and 1 mesh pocket on the inside of the right pocket) Elastic tightening system at the ankle for a perfect fit over the shoe. Pants sold with a belt
Water-repellent properties information
These pants have water-repellent inserts (front of the ankle, seat) that let the water slide off the fabric's surface. Please note that this does not mean WATERPROOF. The water-repellent property prevents the pants from getting wet too fast but will not keep you dry under steady rain. For this, we recommend that you wear over-pants such as the Trek 500 (ref. 8493660). Water-repellent properties can be reactivated by tumble drying the pants for 10 minutes on low temperature.
Sizing information
Straight cut and use of stretch fabric in the right areas guarantees high comfort levels when moving around. Choose your usual size. Inside leg of the pants: 32.8" in size 44 (L) Inside leg of shorts: 10.8" in size 44 (L) Width of pant hem: 8.4" in size 44 (L) Width of shorts hem: 10.4" in size 44 (L)
What about maintenance?
We recommend that you always wash the pants with the bottom of the legs zipped up to make sure that the color washes out evenly!
