Product Customer Reviews

These are good shoes, well made and look good - but they are way too long for the indicated size. The shoes fit me all over except for the length. I usually wear a 10-10.5 UK shoe and these were listed as a size 10. But there was at least 20-25mm of space between my big toe and the end of the shoe. Would have been a disaster to walk in. Also my order didn't get dispatched until I queried it about 10 days after I placed the order. So it was a lot longer delivery than normal. I also had to pay for the return, which used to be free. I've had lots of great experiences with Decathlon previously, but this wasn't one of them.
I originally bought these shoes when I was in Bilbao walking the Camino del Norte. They were excellent. Now that I'm back in Australia and needed a new pair I bought them again. They're great for walking, hiking, and even trail running.
Good for day walks and light hikes
I love them Works great for natural trails

Typical Decathlon quality and price. That means ...excellent!
I like these shoes, they fit well although it was hard to decide on size so maybe like me wear them inside for a bit to figure out if they work for you. I use orthotics and mine work really well. For now i wear these shoes most of the day and I hope they will last me a long time. Great buy so far
Very comfortable! My husband really likes them

I used more than 3 times and it is feeling comfortable and durable
Seems like a good product. Too early to tell how hard wearing the shoe is. I like the way the shoe fits snugly on to the feet.
Initially felt they were a bit flat inside, once accustomed to these, they become the perfect shoes for mountain or street. For the price they are perfect and look very good. I bought them as an emergency pair of shoes as my Adidas Terrex shrunk after washing.
Excellent fit with a secure hold in the heel and midfoot with room around the toes. Very comfortable with a smooth action through each step. Grip is as up there with the best. Part of what makes them comfortable though means a trade off in underfoot stiffness so that you can feel stones through the sole a bit and they bend easily when contouring slopes, more so than my trail running shoes for example. So maybe not the best for extreme rough mountains but I'd rate them as excellent for general long walks. LIghtweight at 320g for UK size 8.
It is a shoe that exceeds in quality and price many brand. They are quite soft and comfortable, non-slip and safe. I'm happy
Absolutely fantastic lightweight walking shoe with the snow, loose ground sole.Very breathable foot mesh with rubber bumper guard and extra padded tongue.Inrxpensive but robust enough for day long casual hike n bike.Love them.
This shoe was very comfortable even after the first walk. The sole is incredibility hard wearing, showing very little wear after 6 months of moderate walking. However its the second pair in less than a year were the inside of the back of the shoe has completely worn away and is now causing blisters. As a result I've had to through them out. It's a shame as the sole has worn better than Solomon, Scarpa and Merrell shoes I've had before.

Sustainable development information
For the lining fabric and insole coating of these shoes, the yarn is dyed at source to reduce the environmental impact. Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced.
Sole with grip
The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 500 km
Which size should i select?
The most important thing is to try on several sizes and styles of boots to find the one most suited to you! You can take a size above your usual one to prevent the toes from bumping into the toe box when going downhill, provided the foot is properly supported to avoid friction.Tip: keep your toenails short and, before a long descent, check that your lacing is tight enough to prevent your foot from sliding forwards inside the boot.
Buying tips / how do you try your boots on?
Some Decathlon stores have a test route.1. Try on both boots, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking.2. Tighten the laces, taking care to correctly balance the tightening.3. Check two points:- the heel does not come up before the boot when you walk uphill.- the foot does not slide and the toes do not press against the front when going downhill.4. Try on several sizes and models.Break them in gradually to adapt them to your foot.
Optimise the capabilities of your boots: replace your insoles!
The original insole in your boots is designed to accommodate most feet. A change of insole can bring:1. Improved support: some soles are preformed or reinforced to better support the arch of the foot. 2. More comfort: the insoles can also provide heat and/or cushioning.3. Longer life: restore the support and comfort of your boots by replacing the insole each season.
How should you look after your boots?
- Leave to air dry.- Remove dry mud with a stiff brush. - Clean marks using a brush and some warm water- Leave to dry- Spray with a re-waterproofing product to restore the water-resistance to the upper.
