I’ve only used this to commute back and forth to work so not had a chance to really test out the breathability on the trails but it’s been absolutely bang on so far, great job.

Very good raincoat
Purchased as an emergency waterproof due to a change of weather when climbing Snowdon (weather warning forecast 6 hours of heavy rain and wind) and for 6 hours exposed to driving rain I remained bone dry. The best waterproof I’ve ever bought. Sizing is small, I’m usually a large and bought and XL which fit perfect. Can’t wait to use again.
Have had to purchase a small mens waterproof for my 13 year old - similar size to 14-15 kids but far far better fit around the bottom and neck
Did a 2 day mountain hike with some snowy terrain. It’s light and comfortable.
Like the coat, like the look but the zip can stick and is not the best.
Really good jacket and got the matching hiking shoes also. Really good quality and really good fit.
I checked out a lot of other coats before buying, this was the cheapest but not inferior. Feels the same quality of the main outdoor brands and other reviews swayed it for me. Not tested in rain yet but warmerthan you would think and keeps wind out. Will be wearing in the lakes later in the year for full test!
I bought the second Jacket of the same model. It is the best choice of this kind of jackets.

Forclaz Rain overpants for protecting the lower body to complete an effective rain protection outfit designed for mountain walks. Care products: waterproof spray or liquid in the machine, to renew the fabric's water-repellent properties and optimize performance throughout the lifetime of your garment.
We measure the resistance of a fabric to water pressure expressed in mm of water column (test based on Standard ISO 811). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with a 2,000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 2,000 mm column of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours).
This garment was approved in a shower test in 26 gallons of water/sqm/hour for 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a violent storm in the mountains.
In addition to breathability of the fabrics used, Quechua develops technical solutions (zippers, ventilation, mesh, etc.) to improve the overall ventilation of its backpacking jackets and overpants designed for great hiking use (Forclaz, Bionnassay and Helium lines). These ventilation systems allow both temperature regulation inside the garment and help wick away perspiration generated by the body during exercise.
The coating is like a layer of "paint" applied on the underside of the fabric to make it waterproof while remaining breathable. It is often less costly than a membrane, and requires a lining for protection. The membrane is like a very fine plastic film (polyurethane) making the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being more supple, lightweight, durable and often more breathable than the coating.
3 layers: the membrane is bonded between the outer and inner layer of the component. This construction helps the membrane last longer and boosts the component's performance. 2 layers: the membrane is only bonded to the outer fabric; the inner protective lining is free. This construction costs less but is generally more cumbersome. 2.5 layers: the membrane is protected on the inside by a kind of varnish coating rather than an actual layer to make it as lightweight as possible
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (with every 3 washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using different indicators. A score ranging from A to E is attributed so that you can easily identify the products with a better environmental performance compared to products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks,...).
