Comfortably warm and windproof
Wind considerably increases the effect of the cold! With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Water-repellency of the component (different to waterproofing)
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. Therefore the textile does not absorb water and remains light, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes).
Main fabric : 93.0% Polyester (PES), Main fabric : 7.0% Elastane\r\nYoke : 88.0% Polyester (PES), Yoke : 12.0% Elastane
Not designed to provide protection from heavy winds.
