Comfortable shoe with good quality/price ratio
My favorite shoes for summer hiking so far.
Good product, waterproof and comfortable, ideal for going on a rainy day through the mountains or through a Madrid full of construction sites, ditches and flooded Metro platforms.
Very good shoe for nature hikes. I did 600km of hiking with them, well they are out of breath but they are great: breathable (but not waterproof, I adapted gaiters), very flexible while having enough sole. Be careful, low shoes are not suitable for very rutted high mountain paths, but hold the road well even on bushy trails or on asphalt.
I wore out the first one and bought the second one of the same product. It is very comfortable and indispensable for the spring months. It hugs the foot and maintains the ideal temperature of the foot. However, since the sole is hard, be careful on slippery surfaces in daily use. Apart from that, it is a perfect product.

Grippy soles on natural footpaths
This sole’s design is the result of long-term research carried out in our laboratories. We chose a specific rubber formula that optimizes grip and resistance. Since not all needs are the same, we are always looking for the best solution to develop on loose country trails such as unpaved forest paths.
Designed for use on country trails
Our hiking shoes are designed for use on off-road trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our shoes and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to hiking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (asphalt) may lead to premature wear on your shoes and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.
Waterproofing test
Footwear equipped with a membrane is laboratory and field tested to ensure optimal waterproofing and breathability. To start, they are immersed in water with pressurized air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the shoe. Next, they are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking half-immersed in water to test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing
In the impermeability test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing:- 2000 flexes, about 2 hours of hiking- 4000 flexes, about 4 hours of hiking- 8000 flexes, about 8 hours of hikingThe NH150 WP shoes were tested for 2000 flexes in the laboratory. This means they will stay waterproof for a 2-hour hike.Of course, as soon as the shoes are dry, they become waterproof again.
Laboratory tested
Laboratory tests were also conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.
How to keep your shoes waterproof for longer
We advise that you use a re-waterproofing spray several times per year, to restore the original water-repellency and prevent staining.
How to choose the right size hiking shoes
Try on both shoes, standing up and wearing the socks you use for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check 2 comfort points: - the heel seating- the front of the foot on a downward slopeAvoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually start using your shoes during your 1st few hiking trips to break them in.
The shoe/sock combination plays an important role
There are multiple factors that may cause blisters when you walk: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a shoe size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important to choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your hiking shoes.
How to choose the size of your hiking socks
You need to choose the correct sock size for your feet to prevent any extra folds from forming. These folds may form because the sock is too big and therefore there is too much material around your foot, or because the sock so small and is pulled toward the inside of your foot.
Product testing
Our design team conceives, designs, and creates Quechua products in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc. We test them in the field with other hikers, to check their comfort and durability. Fontainebleau Forest or in Brittany, for example. We go on as many trails as possible, in all weather conditions. This creates plenty of opportunities for discussion to get your feedback, which is used to plan our future products!
Storage instructions
We recommend you store your shoes in a dry, dark, and, if possible, ventilated place.
