BOOST 900 MEN'S PISTE SKIS - ORANGE WED'ZE

Bought these ski's in the sale and was not disappointed. Have just returned from a weeks skiing in Italy and they performed very well, light, responsive with plenty of 'feel' always had faith in them on both fresh and cut up piste, worked well on both hard and soft snow. Would highly recommend.

Happy with my skis

I am an intermediate skier and bought these as an alternative to buying more expensive ones from another brand, or hiring. After a busy week of skiing I was very happy with the feel and value for money.

If you love carving - this is your ski!

Type of skier: Ski-instructor Snowcondition: Slushy/wet on the slopes Overall opinion: If you love carving with a smaller radius on higher speeds - this is your ski! The Boost 900 is perfect on the slopes with so much grip on higher speeds. I tested these skis for one day in Bromont and I was really astonished how fast these skis where responding and how easy it was to make a carved turn. Even when I switched from long to short turns on higher speeds they didn't hold me back at all.

Calidad precio inmejorable

Pisteros 100%

Inmejorables

Muy estables, cómodos y genial calidad/precio

Muy recomendables

Un poco blandos pero muy recomendables

Buen producto a buen precio

Experience

The BOOST 900 by Wed'ze is a high performance ski, which remains very intuitive. It enables to vary the radius thanks to its full length wood core construction. The vertical side walls increase grip on hard snow, and the slight "piste rocker" on the tip helps enter the turn. Acceleration is also very good when exiting the turn. In brief, a high performance and accessible ski.

Construction

Woodcore Tec Side wall: Vertical side walls that provide good grip on hard snow. The full length wood core ensures even deformation in turns, for a responsive, comfortable and stable ski. The slight 3D design on the tail of ski enables good deformation of the tail, to ensure flowing turn control.

Bindings

Tyrolia bindings, model PR 11 GW. Grip Walk compatible. Din from 3 to 11. Fits ski boots with sole length between 10" and 14.9"

Durability

Plastic tail end to not damage the ski when it is on the ground.

Preparation

Waxed and sharpened skis, ready to use. Edge sharpened to 89°.

What is camber?

When placing a ski on the ground, its points of contact are found near the tip and tail, whereas the middle of the ski (under the bindings) is slightly raised. This is the camber. The longer and higher the camber, the greater the grip and the more responsive the ski. The lower the camber, the more tolerant and manageable the ski.

What is rocker ?

On a "rocker" ski, the tip, and sometimes the heel, comes off the ground much sooner than with a cambered ski: this has the effect of moving the contact points toward the center of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is shortened and offers maneuverability and lift in soft snow. When taking corners, the edge length provides more grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.

Sidecut

126/73/110 in 69.7", radius = 46'

Our after-skiing advice:

After a long day of skiing, this is what you need to do to guarantee your ski's long life: * Wipe your edges with a rag at the end of the day to prevent rusting. * Use ski ties to prevent the soles from rubbing against each other. * Store your skis in a dry place, away from sunlight.
