light and technical. very confortable. i recommend. the sizing is small so try before purchassing, normaly im 39 but i had to buy size 40
Product is awesome. I think we should think on the size for online order. Since I bought I went for a hike of 10 hrs and felt that I should have bought one size bigger.
The product is overall made of good quality materials, but it teared down. For this price it does not worth it.
The design is good and it is very comfortable. The shell is quite solid and protective. On a rainy day, I wear it and feel safe on my walking. I like its early wear design. However, I cannot find this design again in Decathlon!
Good price, but not waterproof! Although wider than Salmon, I have to stretched them for over a week and they still give me blisters to start with. I do have wide feet, "H" according to Clarks, so no great surprise. Last pair were great for 7 out of 8 months, around 3000 miles, walking mostly on pavements.
Actually a great shoe for men and women alike.....These are the best trail shoes that I have ever worn. I hike through grass, mud rocks, hard terrain and soft...they fit like a glove and have so much support and grip, even when running on the trails. If I wade through water in them, or throw them in for a quick wash, they dry easily . I loved them so much, I’m on my second pair...but it took ages for me to need a second pair as they lasted so long despite being worn constantly. Ill be sticking with these for as long as they make them.
Forclaz 500 helium are the best hiking shoes even to the point that for daily usage they are awesome. Excellent comfort, breathability and at same time sturdy too. Whether tarmac, terrian, grass it goes like anything. Only thing if plastic grips for laces and mesh are strong enough to hold for the duration as subjected to warranty.
Very comfortable, good grip and nice lacing system ( very useful since I often need to remove my shoes ). I didn't use them for outdoor activities yet but I'm pretty confident they will do the job.
As suggested by staff I bought one size bigger than my regular size. During trial it was comfortable, but during actual tracking it was not comfortable. My leg was paining in entire track. I didn't had alternative so at the end of track I got cramps in my leg.
Thanks for your feedback on the Forclaz 500 Helium shoes by Quechua. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
To put some light on the usage of this product, the Forclaz 500 Helium shoes are designed for hiking(one day) on the mountains offering good grip, support and cushioning. The shoe is equipped with the feature of EVOFIT concept which offers a superior fit and support for any type of foot, quick lacing for easy and snug fit. The shoe does not live up to the promise when used for different purpose/usage as it is not equipped to perform on that terrain (Ex: Trekking, several days). I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and request you kindly to visit any of the stores closer to you and get this product exchanged.
Meanwhile, if you could let me know your usage, I would be glad to recommend the right product suited for your usage. I stay available if you need any further assistance with our products or services in the future.
Have been using these shoes for more than half a year in the outdoors and it has performed very well. Good cushioning and support for the ankle. Easy to release laces are a plus too.
Great value for money. More comfortable than shoes i have which cost twice as much. Very good mid and fore foot cushion which i always have issues with trail shoes. Good stability, ventilation, traction and the quick lace is a bonus. Highly recommended.
Great quality product.
Can't complain about the performance as these shoes have performed well enough in the field (though it's worth mentioning I only walk occasionally in the less than arduous low country of the New Forest); however the mesh on the top of the shoes is fraying quite badly and the footbeds split on one of the pair after less than a year. The two year warranty seems a little optimistic.

Truly surprised. Ok, it was just first 5km fast walk, but more then enough to judge. I have usually problem with 95% od sports shoes at start, spend long month when buying new before finding the right one. This one fit on my feet perfectly in shop and perfectly on first fast walk. Had usually problems with 3 times more expensive shoes to get my feet used to.
I've only ever Fell walked in winter, it took me by surprise how warm feet get in milder weather. This was my answer. The insoles are perhaps the best quality I've seen in walking shoes, on a par with Salomon, probably better though. The midsole is soft and squashy under the foot, but not enough to make things feel vague. The outsole is quite stiff, certainly enough for it's intended use. It's also grippy enough on dry days. The friction laces work fine. They do loosen a bit, but are quick to re-tighten -overall better than normal laces. For a dry weather shoe, I can't see a need to look any further

The design of the soles has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber formulation to offer the best compromise between grip and traction. The design of the sole of the Forclaz 500 Helium will offer more traction than grip. Definition > Grip: not slipping on loose ground (loamy or dry). Grip: not slipping on hard ground (wet or dry).
Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
When taking up hiking, do not hesitate to take a size above your usual shoe size to guarantee an optimal comfort when walking downhill and to avoid your toes rubbing the tops of the shoe. Tip: Before any descent, make sure your nails are cut and check that your laces are tightened to prevent your foot from sliding forward in the shoe.
