Product Customer Reviews

I have used this already in heavy rain on the boat and stayed dry. Excellent!
Comfortable and stylish
Having previously bought this jacket in the past with no problems, I’m very disappointed that this particular jacket didn’t stay waterproof for very long. With minimal use and less than 12 months old the it leaks under moderate rain. I no longer have the receipt so there’s no warranty. Safe to say I won’t be purchasing again.
Hi Darren,
I'm sorry to hear of the issue you're having with your jacket, this has not been a previously reported issue. There is a link here with some guidance on how to re-proof your jacket with washing and tumble drying (right at the bottom of the web page).

If you still find you are having the same issue after trying this, please get back to me and I will try to provide you with a solution as we do not normally have any issues with the waterproofing of our sailing jackets.

Well made and a good fit. The shop staff are very helpful.
I have two of these coats in different colours. Apart from the amazing value, they do exactly what they say on the can. I cannot praise them enough tbh.
I bought this as I wanted a waterproof jacket for when I was out walking the dogs. I didn't want to spend much and after having a look around at different options picked this one. It looks good, is very comfortable and also seems very breathable. I've worn it a few times whilst its been raining and I'm very impressed so far.would definitely recommend for the money.
Very waterproof and windproof. Comfortable cuffs don't get in the way when you're tired, but there is still room for layering if it's cold. This is an ideal jacket for sailing, even in warm, wet weather.
Buy two sizes to big, very small fit
Worn it for 7 months with heavy rain and lots of sea water spay...great product. (Enhanced dryness with a water repellent spray)
At last I have a jacket, that is lightweight, and keeps me warm and dry. Excellent product and I am very pleased with it. It was just what I was looking for
I used this coat whilst camping, it kept me very warm and dry especially when it rained persistently for that entire week. I now wear it for college its very easy to roll up and place in my bag. Especially if the sun decides to shine. I'm also pleased with the design, my friends and family have commented on how trendy it looks. My only concern was that my dad said he would like one to.
A very nice jacket to keep handy for sailing around the coast and estuaries of the UK during the summer months. More than good enough to cope with summer squalls but light enough to wrap up into a handy wet bag and carry around with you. Highly recommended
Good sound sailing jacket which is great quality and does all I want to keep me dry in wet weather or bouncy coastal conditions. Very competitively priced it beats the nearest chandlery rival by £20-£30. Works well for me and is slightly baggy which means I can get extra layers below if needed
Compared to wind-blocker, it was bit heavy than expected. However, the quality is good. If the cap can remove-able / zip-style, it can reduce the weight and use is summer time as well.
Bought it 3 years ago as riding jacket. Waterproof against light to medium rain until 1 hours. Quality is really good and I,m still using it now.

Score to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire lifecycle and with different indicators. An overall score (ABCDE) is attributed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with one another (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon chose to apply this voluntary environmental labeling scheme. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 1: before washing
Close all zippers and flaps and remove any parts of the garment that cannot be washed. Also remember to loosen the straps and elastic parts and empty the pockets. Then turn the garment inside out to wash it.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 2: washing
You can wash your jacket on a synthetic cycle at 86°F or 104°F with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric softener, which could damage the existing performance of the garment, or bleach. Also take care not to bend your jacket too much when you place it in the washing machine and do not overload your machine. Very important: select a thorough rinse or double rinse to completely remove all detergent residue.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 3: drying
Drying is a crucial phase in reactivating the water-repellent treatment. We recommend that you lay your jacket flat on a clothes rack and leave it out to dry in the open. Caution: never dry your jacket directly on a radiator. Then place it in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way around. Caution: do not over-dry the garment.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency
If, despite this procedure of washing and thorough rinsing followed by gentle drying in a tumble dryer, the drops of water no longer run off the surface of your jacket, we recommend that you "re-waterproof" it using a waterproofing spray sold in our stores.

Storage instructions
Store in a dry place, but do not leave your garment on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable coating.
