Men's Backpacking Short-Sleeved T-Shirt Wool Travel 500

While it isn't 100% Merino $25 for 70% Merino is great. The T-Shirt keeps you both cool & warm, plus it doesn't stink. The sizing runs very small I had to purchase a 2XL so it would fit me nicely. However, if you know that then you should be fine.

The shirt has developed three small holes on the chest, after only being worn 5-10 times and only washed a few times. Decathlon says this is normal wear and tear and not covered by warranty. I'd hate to know what this shirt would look like after a year or two of more rigorous use. Would not recommend!

This mens small size didn’t even fit my teenager. Sent it back for a refund. The quality was average but that’s reflected in the price

Just wore it for a 4-day hike and it did not smell at all. Warm and kept has kept its shape.. Good value compared to very expensive alternatives

Got a large but way too small - never been an xl

The material feels nice and the cut isn't bad, but unfortunately these aren't very durable. I've got 5 or 6 of them, but most of them have now worn through on the back where my rucksack sits. That's in 1-2 years of intermittent use. I've got Rab shirts that are far older and are still fine - I guess you get what you pay for.

This is advertised as offering odour control and being a shirt for travelling and trekking. Apparently it has been tested by the team at Decathlon and show to reduce odours. I can confirm that prior to the first wash the T-Shirt offers improved odour control over that of a cotton T-Shirt. However once washed at a low temperature as indicated on the care label it looses all of the odour control. In fact it becomes worse than a cotton shirt as you can’t wash it high enough or use biological detergent to clean it. It must be the non merino element that smells and it is very unpleasant. Could I suggest that the decathlon team investigate this and re run their tests using shirts that have been worn and then washed. I am very upset as I am a big fan of decathlon and an even bigger fan of merino wool, low temperature washing and eco friendly washing products. I have one of these I have worn and before I realised the issue I bought four more. My local store told me that they couldn’t refund the purchases as I had taken the labels out and they couldn’t resell them. That’s the bit that really didn’t feel very fair or reasonable 😔
