Been using this product for the last few weeks and am extremely satisfied with the warmth it provides. Only thing that stops me from recommending it to others is the weight and the space it takes in your rucksack. It fills half of a 50 ltr rucksack all by itself. And it is a pain to wear it inside a sleeping bag. . Upside: you don't need the sleeping bag to cover your upper torso if you are wearing it as long as the temperature is around -10 degree Celsius. Anything below and if you need to wear this while trying to fit in a sleeping bag you will find it to be extremely uncomfortable.
Bought this parka because of what algorithm suggested me on social media. I gave benefit of the doubt on this product and decided to buy it and got very satisfied with it. Move over big brand names (CG, NF, SD, Flijh, etc) cause there’s best new parka in town!
Will keep you warm on the colder nights but haven’t had temps below 20 to judge capacity yet

Warm, wind proof and water proof.
I'm writing this coat on behalf of my husband who absolutely loves this jacket and is always excited when he gets to wear it and stay cosy, I have also purchased the women's version of this coat for myself. It's a really lovely comfortable and warm jacket that has had many compliments as it looks very fashionable too. It has so many useful features and pockets wherever you need them. The fleece lined pockets are so nice and cosy, it makes me wish that the weather stayed colder for longer just so I could keep using the coat. I was originally not bothered about the fur lining, and was going to remove it, but it looked nice and was functional too in cold and rainy weather.
This IS a superbly engineered product, but there are some aspects that for the British market I do feel could be improved. Firstly, the insulation is TOO thick! How often do we really need something that goes down to -20C? Even if the price had to increase, a lining that could be removed and replaced with one that was thinner and sufficient for -5C would be excellent. As it is this coat will have had less than 7 days use this season as it is already too hot for normal wear, especially as there is no ventilation in the back or chest. Secondly, the front zip is really quite hard to connect at the bottom of the hem - it has quite small parts and is too fiddly given the overall weight of the coat. In replacing the zip, I would also replace it with one that undoes upwards too - having to completely undo the coat in snow to have a pee is tedious. Thirdly, the two chest pockets... I have no idea what was going through the mind of the design team. The two vertical zips are SO far over to the side that you need to be a contortionist to get the zip undone and your hand inside. The durability of the coat, its cut overall, and some of the design features (the press studs being mounted on tape for gloved closing, for example) are great, but overall I'm afraid I was disappointed.
Very warm
Wore this out in minus temps with just a tshirt underneath surprised how warm i was, havent been in the rain yet, this jacket is well made. So far im very impressed with it highly recommend a great winter jacket.
i bought this jacket online and received the size which was extraordinarily large so i had to return it. tried it for few minutes and found it very very warm.
This is a serious working jacket. Too hot for temperatures above 5C, it would be enough to wear a long sleeve polo underneath and feel very comfortable. Where this jacket excels is in temperatures below -5C. I tested this jacket in day and night conditions in snow, and blizzards and all I can say is that this jacket is amazing! The hood really works against blizzards and strong winds. The lowest temperature I was in was -17C. I was wearing icebreaker T-shirt and Quechua fleece (500 I think) and I was very warm. I haven’t tested this in the rain, so cannot comment on water resistant abilities. I am so happy I didn’t splash out more money for HH or NF. This is da parka!!!
Esta parka es muy cálida e impermeable. No obstante hay algunos puntos mejorables: 1. El tallaje es un poco escaso, de forma que una M me queda muy ceñida sin posibilidad de ponerme un jersey debajo y una L un tanto holgada, aunque bien de hombros y mangas. Se hubiera agradecido una M-L. 2. En la cremallera principal se echa de menos un doble carro. Teniendo en cuenta que es una prenda para el frío intenso no se entiende que haya que desabrocharla entera para aliviar las necesidades fisiológicas más elementales. 3. La solución del cuello y la capucha es aparatosa. Si bien cuando se usan hacen su función perfectamente, cuando no se usan resultan algo incómodos. 4. Se echan en falta unos ajustes en los puños, que quizás son exagerados si no se usan guantes. 5. Los bolsillos superiores no están bien resueltos: son pequeños (y eso que mis manos son más bien finas) y la posición es demasiado alta, obligando a flexionar los brazos más de lo que resulta cómodo.
De entrada parece algo duro y pesado (no es para menos puesto que tiene un gran relleno aislante y el tejido es muy resistente). Practicamente se puede ir de paseo por el Ártico, muy cálido. Al principio puedes sentirte un poco en una armadura pero luego se agradece el conjunto.
Muy bien diseñado, increíblemente cálido, ajuste perfecto, bolsillos calienta manos, largo adecuado... El mejor que he tenido en mi vida.
Perfecto para temperaturas inferiores a 7 grados. El diseño es una copia muy bien conseguida, tiene una gran calidad y Dechatlon lo ha hecho muy bien. Tiene dos cremalleras laterales que te permiten sentarte cómodamente. Solo pediría algún bolsillo interior mas ya que solo tiene uno.
We developed your jacket for intense winter conditions: extreme cold, snow, blizzard. Insulation is made from thick padding, a synthetic component that insulates thanks to the air trapped in its fibers (double layer on the body and one layer on the arms). We added a wide padded inner flap underneath the zipper to block drafts of cold air. The jacket bottom tightening supplements the system to guarantee a jacket that is comfortable down to -4°F.
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. In the winter, to stay warm, you must also protect the tips of your body (head, hands, feet). The blizzard hood with removable synthetic fur, cuffs on the wrists and high collar, preventing the entry of cold. The high hand-warming pockets with fleece lining are perfect to protect your hands in a comfortable position.
We designed your jacket with an outer fabric that has been coated to make it waterproof. We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. A component with a 2000 mm waterproof rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2000 mm column of water, which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour downpour.
Your jacket is waterproof, thanks to taped main seams. Fitting waterproof strips inside the clothing makes the seams waterproof by limiting water ingress at these sensitive places. We have checked the waterproofing with a specially designed shower test to reproduce conditions under a 2 hour rain shower. We have also worn it in the field in all conditions to make sure it is suitable for your activity.
Practical and clever details: 2 hand-warmer pockets, 2 outer pockets with flaps, 1 secured inside pocket, 2 inner mesh pockets to keep all you need to hand. The main zipper has a long zipper pull and press studs with a thumb loop to open or close your jacket with your hands wrapped up into your gloves. The 2 comfort zippers at the bottom of the jacket enable you to kneel or sit comfortably.
We have designed this jacket with a comfortable volume that enables it to be combined with a warm second layer such as a fleece or light down jacket. The long parka-type cut is ideal to protect you from the cold and wind during your winter hikes in hilly or mountain environments.
To check the durability of our products, we carry out tests on the components selected: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colorfastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests were carried out on the component of your jacket.
The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to let the water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. In this way, the fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight, breathable and warm. Water repellency is obtained by a treatment applied on the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend each wash). Products (sprays and liquids) are available in our stores.
To dress correctly in the winter, no matter what your activity is, we recommend that you apply the 3 layer principle: layer 1: The technical base layer will enable damp to be wicked away to keep skin dry. layer 2: The second layer (fleece, pullover) provides warmth and wicks away the damp. layer 3: The jacket protects you from outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The outfit must be breathable to wick away damp.
