These pants a great for snowshoeing and winter hiking. They are warm and flexible for taking big, high steps. All the pockets are zipped and meshed lined so you can use the as vents when you are working hard (I would avoid putting keys in the pockets in case they tear). The only problem I have with the pants is that they tear easily if you are hiking in overgrown areas and the material is not rip-stop so when it snags it tears about 2” (they tore on their second use which is disappointing) it would be great if future designs reinforced the panels below the knees and calf areas. Also offering the plants in a shorter length would also reduce the bagging and tearing. The only other thing that is good to know is the sizing runs small so size up, especially if you plan on wearing a base layer. The pants come with a belt with very thin webbing that folds/twists and digs into your waste over time so get a good belt too.

Good and reliable material.

Ordered online, seems good quality but bizarre sizing. I'm 32in waist and 33in that I received were very tight. Tried to exchange in store but all trousers had leg length of 33 or 34in or longer, whether it's a 29in or 42in waist. So if you're taller or shorter than that try something else. I'd recommend ordering a bit bigger unless you like a tight fit or trying them on in store.

I was expecting more warmer but its ok to wear .

Left pocket had a tear at the seam, a big hole in the pocket. Very disappointed with the quality and service as i would have thought all items would be checked before posting out. Wouldn't order again.

I’m 6 foot 1 inch tall, so not unusually so and require a long leg in trousers. Unfortunately the 34 inch leg, like many trousers that I’ve tried is about 1-1.5 inches too short. It’s a real shame as the material, the fit on my waist and everything else was ideal.

These trousers are really good for the price, they're warm, comfy and have pockets in all the right places. My only gripe with them is the length, would be good if they were available with a 32" leg rather than 34". Just have to deal with them being a bit bunched up at the bottom!

If your tall but not overweight no sizes for you

Quite surprised by these at this price point, took them on a 10 day tour of Scotland, had a constant drizzle up Ben Nevis, nothing came through, Old Man of Store, again drizzly and nothing came through, only time they let any water through was a during heavy rain when visiting the fairy pools, they only claim to be shower resistant and only started to let water through on the last leg up to the car park in some horrid rain. They were comfy enough to wear all day and had a good fit.

I am very pleased with these trousers. So many walking trousers are baggy shapeless tents and I have searched high and low for a pair that can be described as “slim fit.” I am a skinny bloke and these perfectly. My other half says they look great from behind. Everyone’s happy!

These run large but have a belt so can be adjusted. I just walked in heavy rain and got completely soaked through, so would not advise them for wet winter walking. The womens' version has an inferior, different side pocket (it is oblique so has to be kept zipped or stuff falls out) to the men's, which has a more useful, larger zipped side pocket. They wash and dry well.
