Product Customer Reviews

Best I have every purchased
Good support and with “studded” sole for grip on uneven surfaces. Look good as casual dress gear
Nice grippy shoes but a little narrow in fit
I used these runners to trek The Kokoda Trail having previously run in them for a couple of months since purchase. I couldn’t be happier with how they performed in the most rigorous of conditions and will be purchasing another pair to run in a couple of OCR’s
All my running life I have been running in ASICS - since changing over to these shoes haven't looked back - light weight, wide and great support for my long runs
Got a pair of these 2 weeks ago. I am a big fan of the XT7 and thought I would give the top of the range MT model a go. Their first outing was on a 5k where they felt light enough and very supportive. Their second run was in a 21m (34Km) run. I expected some issues having broken the cardinal rule of not running far in new shoes. I needn't have worried thy were so supportive and comfortable I barely felt them. The run was a mix of pavement and trail mostly flat, after 21 miles my feet were blister free and all my toenails survived intact. 5 days later I wore them on a 5k hill race with 300m vertical ascent in the first 1.5km a muddy kilometre summit and a speedy tarmac descent. The shoes coped with everything the conditions threw at them, trail, mud, road they just gripped everything and gave me the confidence to really go for it. I have become a bit of a Kalenji bore when discussing shoes people are beginning to suspect I am on commission (I'm not). Top end performance with no compromise is the order of the day. Throw in the 2 year guarantee and they are well worth it.
good for running
Hi Christine,
Thank you for taking your time to provide us with a positive review of these running trainers.
ROBERT
My son needed these quickly and Decathlon posted them super quickly (for free) to my local pick-up shop...perfect. Great shoe and at a brilliant price. I have since bought other things from them as they are so competitively priced.
These are great entry level trail shoes. Would recommend
I can't recommend these highly enough - I completed a non-stop 100km hike across the South Downs in the UK (hilly, rocky / loose stones in places) in them and they were incredibly comfy when people around me in walking boots were succumbing to blisters. I've also used them for running on-road and off-road. In short: a great trail shoe with enough support and grip for every terrain I came across!
I have owned the previous model of these trail shoes, and I chose the same size and tried them in the shop, they seemed okay, but after running anything over 5km, they rub and give blisters, so they are useless to me, I have tried breaking them in, but after 160km they are still unbearable, have had to buy another brand, my last Kiprun Trail XT6 have run approx 800km and ll get occasional use as they are comfortable, even if they are now tatty.
Hello Allan,
Thank you for taking your time to review this product. As I understand your previous trainers were the Kiprun Trail XT6 blue orange, which you were happy with. However since then, you have purchased the MT model which is a slightly different in terms of it's design and structure. As you were happy with the XT6 I recommend that you select the latest model in this series, the XT7. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/xt7-mens-blue-and-bronze-id_8513387.html
I invite you to exchange your MT model for the XT7.
ROBERT
These trail runners are excellent. They feel a little clunky while you're breaking them in, but I love how they've adapted to my feet. Now that the weather has turned wet and cold their water resistance is being tested big time. I run through parks where it gets really boggy and if you're splashing through deep water your feet will get wet, but these runners get rid of onboard water really well after a few minutes of jogging. Jogging through damp/dewy grass and these stay surprisingly dry. I also notice that my grip is always better than the people I run with. Try em out in store and hang around in them for 10 minutes to see if you feel any warning "hot spots" or aching points in your feet, and if they're comfortable I can't recommend them highly enough.
You would have to spend double to get a branded shoe that peforms as well as these shoes. They are brilliant. They are now on just over 100k and have made my speedcross 3’s redundant. Whoever designed these shoes understands trail running.
Bought these as an emergency purchase after I couldn't break in my Oasics no matter how hard I tried. With one week before an extreme coastal marathon ( ended up being 28 miles) I was desperate. These were amazing straight from the shop and have been my go to trail shoe for the last year. Their awesome traction has coped with everything from dry scree to steep grassy slopes and mud. They are very light and comfortable and don't look out of place amongst the top end brands. The build quality is not as good as some others and the fabrics feel thinner although no less supportive. I've put some heavy use on mine in the last 12 months with numerous trail marathons and halves not to mention a few races across Dartmoor and over beaches and they are only now giving up the ghost. Still at £5 a month they are amazing value. Glad to see Decathlon still make them as that is what I'm going to buy to replace them. Highly recommended.
These shoes do very well what is needed. Good design features like the lace pocket, big lugs for grip and plenty of cushioning. Easy to clean. These lasted a year and now 2nd set so brilliant.
