Also good for women

As the women with wide toes area I found men’s shoes more comfortable. Decathlon xt7 are extremely well fitting with arch support and good sole grip. Recommended for anyone who looks comfortable shoes for doing a lot of moving and standing.

Excellent hiking shoes; used for my AT Thru-Hike

I cannot review these shoes for their intended purpose of trail running, but I can do so for their use as hiking shoes, which is becoming increasingly common. In fact, I recently finished the Appalachian Trail using just 2 pairs of these! Now, I really should have gotten a third pair as I pushed the second pair farther than was smart, but at the time I needed a new pair they had disappeared from this site (for any staff reading, your search is horrible - even doing a "kiprun xt7" search now will NOT surface the men's shoes). Regardless, the fact that I was able to hike 2,200 miles on just two pairs of these shoes is as good a testimony for their quality as anything else I could say. I actually used the first pair for probably 200 miles of preparation and then 864 miles to start the trail and used the second pair for the remaining 1300+ miles. The rocks of Pennsylvania did leave some tearing on the top toes area, which I re-sealed with some Shoe Goo and then toward the very end the fabric on the top area started developing significant wear and tear but again a little Shoe Goo held them together until the end. As for the soles and even the toe guard, there was never once any kind of separation and the tread held up remarkably well (they lugs are quite massive so can take a pounding before wearing down). Most of my friends were using $120+ shoes (Altra, Salomon, La Sportiva, Hoka, etc.) and they tended to last about 500-600 miles each (with wear and tear starting before then) so even if you don't push yours as far as I pushed mine, they will definitely prove more durable than the more expensive alternatives. As for fit, I went up a half size to start and then a full size for the second pair since my preferred size was out of stock. I don't have especially wide feet so I cannot speak to comfort for those that do, but I found them quite comfortable and when using all the eyelets the shoes hugged my heels nicely, helping prevent any blisters in that area. I only paid $50 for these shoes and now I see they are much higher, so I don't understand what's happening with the pricing (or the color selection, which is no longer the same as when I ordered mine). Still, even at this price I would call this shoe a winner compared to the competition.

Fantastic running shoes and great looks!

Great running shoes, usually hard for me to find good ones, this one is fantastic.

Perfect, I've run 100K ultra in them!

I've run in top end shoes, and I've put some miles in. I've always found Decathlon trainers to last as long as the major brands. I've now run in these for around 8 months including 100Km Ultra across Exmore. I can't fault them! The 1 year replacement guarantee that Decathlon offer is also brilliant.

Excellent

I purchased these trail shoes for dog walking and thought that they would probably do for 2/3 months, they are excellent, so comfortable with a great grip and still going great

Trail, fell, road - A great do it all shoe!

I've had all makes and models of shoes over the years, but I've always had a few niggles here and there, whether it be grip, comfort, fit. These are my current go to shoe, having been wearing them for training on the fells or urban orienteering. I live in Keswick, so they get a good thrashing on all the runs I do and I have to say I'm impressed. The fit is true to my sizing in Nike and Inov8. The are a narrower fit, but my feet are pretty normal, so not a problem. Nothing seems to be tearing or cracking and the grip is holding up. I'll be getting another pair for sure.

Love these but bring back some colour!

I wear these all day every day as they are stable and have great cushioning to minimise my plantar fasciitis pain. But now they're only available in ugly black so I'll have to find an alternative. Please bring back colour options!!

Great trail running shoe

Been on 3 runs over 14 miles in these shoes since purchase, great grip, very comfortable, no issue with blistering in fact no issues at all. Another great product.

A lot to improve

The shoes are comfortable but after only 2 uses the right foot internal logo sticker cracked and came off. Not what I expected to be honest.

Good trail shoe

Excellent value for money and do exactly what they are supposed to do!

Traction, grip, or both?

Traction is what prevents your soles from slipping on loose surfaces. And grip is what prevents them from slipping on smooth surfaces. With their widely-spaced 5 mm lugs to fluff out mud more effectively, your trail running shoes literally bite into the ground: It's on muddy terrain that you'll see what they're truly capable of. And with a new rubber component that provides 42% grip, you can be sure your outsoles won't slip, even on wet rocks!

K-ring and kalensole: we offer you ultra-soft cushioning

The K-RING is exclusive heel cushioning technology in the form of a ring located in the heel: The hole in the middle disperses the shock wave. Kalensole is the EVA foam used in the midsole. It took 3 years of research to create this exclusive composition that improves cushioning by 34%, improves propulsion by 25%, and provides better temperature stability and durability!

Running shoes suited to all terrains... and all types of stride!

Exclusive Kalenji technology that makes our shoes suitable for every stride type with the denser foam located under the first metatarsus.

A shoe that gives you support when trail running.

When you're out running in wild nature for hours, you need shoes that give you maximum support! That's why we added a PU band sealed to the mesh around the back and sides of the shoe, to wrap your foot up snugly. As a result, When you pull your laces, your shoe tightens around your whole foot to provide extra support.

What are the secrets behind the xt7 design?

The XT7 features a whole array of details designed to provide support, versatility, and traction: - There's a pocket on the tongue you can store your laces in! - Weighing just 11.5 oz in size 9, your shoe is even lighter than before and suitable for body weight up to 200 lbs. - The sole has a heel-to-toe drop of 10 mm - For optimal comfort - even in trail - the lining covers the whole interior of the shoe, right to the toes!

Shoes tested for durability

In order to provide you with ever more versatile shoes, the 1st thing we did was listen to your feedback. That led us to develop a new kind of rubber for the heel, one that gives better grip. Then we handed our shoes over to trail running enthusiasts for 6 months, men and women who tested them out under real-life conditions every day, on all terrain. Result: On top of its exceptional level of grip and support, the XT7 will last you up to 1,000 km (620 miles)!
