Product Customer Reviews

I wear then every other day, super comfortable and has great traction and support.
Really comfortable shoes that I bought for hiking as they have a bit more flex in them than a standard hiking shoe while having awesome grip and a decently thick sole
This is perfect. I am very happy with the product. Great quality for a good price. As advertised.
These have a lot of cushion and super traction. Great on wet rocks and roots. Looking forward to test these in the snow!
I love the look, the feel, the response, the grip. They’re really nice trail runners. Sadly, after a couple months of use, maybe 100-150 km on them, I noticed the soles were holding water after exposure to wet conditions. I would walk around “squelching” from trapped water. The tongue of the left shoe also slipped a little causing a small but manageable rubbing on my ankle. Although they were outside of the 60 day return period I decided to check with the store and see what they thought, if in their opinion it was defective and to do the return. My visits to decathlon in the past have been great, and my shopping afterwards was fine, but It wasn’t a great experience in dealing with this concern. No one was experienced enough to determine if this was in fact a defect. I feel as though it is, but don’t feel right in returning them if it’s not agreed upon. I was offered a return but wanted to exchange for the same pair which was not available in the same size. I will check with an experienced local running store and maybe do the return then if they agree. The size I needed was available in other stores but could not be obtained either. Sort of counterintuitive. So yeah, the product is nice, but for such an expensive item, product integrity should be a fair expectation. Oh , and the price in the store showed 130$, online is listed for 110$. I think I bought for 110$. Inconsistent unfortunately. Attention to detail seems vacant in some ways. At the bottom here I’m asked to choose if I would recommend this product. While I would tell someone they are nice sneakers and have had no problems with other pairs, these have fallen short. I will say yes but would add a caveat of this experience.
Hi David! Thank you so much for taking the time to recap your experience with these shoes and your warranty. We're very sorry to hear the staff assisting you could not address your concerns in a more thorough way and this feedback will be given to the team to broaden the scope of training so that we prevent future frustration.
Though (as you already know) trail runners encounter every manner of weather condition, there has consistently been feedback in the design industry that breathability is paramount in running footwear over waterproofing. These shoes do not indicate or promise protection from wet conditions, however their fantastic breathability should enable you to avoid the wet sole "squish" given that they had an appropriate amount of time to dry between runs.
Additionally, the 60 day return period applies specifically to NEW products, and warranties have a bit more variability outside of that, given genuine defects.
Finally, we appreciate the feedback regarding discrepancies (price and obtaining stock from other stores) as this helps us to grow and improve the experience!
Thank you for trusting us for the initial shoe purchase and we hope we are better able to assist in future! đź’™

Ran a really tough 59k ultra in these . Great trainers have bought 2pairs
I have had these for going on 2 years as my main off road shoe and must have put 100s of miles on them on all sorts of different terrains. Even managed a 22 mile fell run and a few other races. They are not mega cushioned which doesn’t bother me, but for longer distances (10 plus) you will start to feel it. Even so for the cost they are incredibly well made, stand up to the odd wash and just feel fun to run in. Would recommend.
I highly recommend trail shoes I've owned now 5 years each year they are getting better and better they've lasted many years some of them and for the price I can't say no when Nike has so much price I appreciate a shoe that works for flat feet not many shoes are good for flat feet and my feet fit perfect for flat foot syndrome I feel comfy and I love all the previous shoes I only wish you would bring more colours more same fit of evdict and lower the price allitle for those with disabilities who may not beable to afford any shoe thankyou for creating such a shoe that people with flat feet can wear I highly recommend schools make these shoes compulsory an make school shops to include your shoes thankyou
Bought these for improving my performance and making obstacle course races (OCR) easier.
Hi, nice shoe but after about 9 months use the lace eyelets at the bottom of the lacing system on my left shoe snapped/wore away. This is very disappointing as it means I've had to feed the lace through an eyelet further up which leads to the whole lacing system being lopsided and affecting the feel when running. Reading other reviews I believe that this is a design faulty. Can I get replacements shoes or a refund?
I’ve ran on very muddy trails to running on tarmac. The trainers preform better than some of the other brands in the same price bracket and better than some more expensive brands. I’ve only done 20 miles so not sure on trainer durability
Hello David,
Thank you very much for reviewing our mt2 trail running shoes. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying running in your new shoes.
Hope to see you back in the store soon.

Only been out for 3 runs in these, but first impressions are good. Very comfortable no rubbing at all. Usually wear a 9 got a 9.5 loads of room. Great grip on the trails. Only down side at the moment, seem to hold onto the mud. Not sure how long these will last?? Usually run between 6 - 10 miles.
A good shoe with a wide toe box. 5 mm lugs....would be better if were 8 mm; but 5mm is better than most so called "trail" shoes. Laces are good and did not slip. ÂŁ69.99 is too high a price...IMO ÂŁ 59.50 is more realistic price. Good cushioning on the sole.
Had for six months and the cloth covering of the heel cuff has worn out causing back of foot blister on one foot. Not a problem I have had with other brands I have had and done many times more mileage in than these. The tread is pretty good - grips well and is lasting well. Laces and rest of uppers also lasting well. Nicely cushioned sole. Would I buy another or would I spend quite a bit more for a better lasting shoe? A tough one, but the latter I think - I like my trainers to be fit for purpose, reliable and to last a lot more than 350 miles.
These shoes grip well on the hills and in the mud. Not very sexy but then who cares as long as they keep you on your feet.

A shoe that performs just as well over distance as over rocks.
We designed the MT2 to accompany you on all trail distances: A shoe that gives you comfort from the 1st mile all the way to the bitter end of your ultra-trails. The Kalenji product manager, Thierry, has nicknamed it ”the trail adventurer.” The MT2 is reliable, safe, and stable, the perfect companion for all distances and terrains, from mountain trails to the rockiest and most uneven paths.
Great traction and even more grip:
Following your opinions and feedback, we've improved both the rubber and the lugs. We're delighted to offer you this new sole, which provides a huge amount of grip, even on wet or slippery rocks while maintaining great traction.
K-ring and kalensole: we offer you effective cushioning
The K-RING is exclusive heel cushioning technology in the form of a ring located in the heel: The hole in the middle disperses the shock wave.Kalensole is the EVA foam used in the midsole. It took 3 years of research to create this exclusive composition that improves cushioning by 34%, improves propulsion by 25%, and provides better temperature stability and durability. For runners of up to 200 lbs.
Feel safe on rocky terrain
The MT2 is the perfect ally for trail running, making you feel safe on any terrain and in any weather. The rock plate at the front and sides protects you from rocks.
A more flexible trail running shoe...
The new MT2 has greater elasticity based on your feedback on the MT: The sole has hollowed-out rubber areas between each lug. Increased flexibility provides more fluidity and better heel-to-toe transition. You can free your stride in the fast sections.
... and lighter based on your feedback
The MT2 is also more lightweight for more dynamic runs. The weight was reduced by 1.4 oz per foot for greater comfort. It now weighs 10.9 oz in size 9.
Shoes that suit your stride
K-Only is a concept exclusive to Decathlon running brands whose denser foam located under the first metatarsal makes our trail shoes suitable for every stride type.
8 mm drop.
We have reduced the drop of the MT2 to 8 mm based on your feedback. This height is perfectly suitable for both your daily runs and your ultra-trail distances.
Tested on all terrains and over the long term
The MT2 was first checked in the lab to test its durability. Our design team then had it tested in real-life conditions in Sainte Victoire mountain on experienced male and female trail runners. The flexibility tests compared to the former model were irrevocable. The results allowed us to release this new MT2 model, which is still as robust and comfortable on all terrain, but lighter and more flexible for more fluid and dynamic running.
Product testing
This shoe has been tested on a wide range of distances and terrains by many male and female runners. The Kiprun Trail MT2 was particularly appreciated for its excellent comfort and protection. The shoe has also undergone a series of mechanical tests in the lab.
Storage instructions
In order to maintain your shoes and absorb any residual humidity between 2 running sessions, stuff your shoes with some newspaper.
